This may not actually apply to my entries, but is it ok for any of our MOCs to not feature our character? For example, if our character had sent a group of men off to spy on the Queen's forces, could a MOC show that quest?

I'll discuss this with the KC, but for now let's stipulate that at least one of your GC entries must feature your character. If you enter more than one size category, only one of them must feature your character, but he/she can appear in more than one if you wish.

How does that sound to everyone?

I think that your first entry, whichever size category it falls under, should have to include your character in some way. We've had this limitation for almost every challenge, and I think it has produced some creative writing and story telling. Just my thoughts though. At the least I would agree with Jordan that you should include your character for at least one of your submission.

Yeah I guess I should have clarified. Your first entry should include your character. Otherwise, we risk having a bunch of, "oh, well my third entry was going to be the one that included my character, but I ran out of time" excuses.

Yeah, how about letting one of us invent the cannon, then we can use it to siege the King's/Queen's castle.
It would be a Lenfel that invents it, of course. :P

That sounds great, as long as it's the first MOC that includes your character. Also, each category/size can only be entered once, can't it? I wasn't clear on this :)

That is correct. One entry per size category. You can enter one, two, or all three categories.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up!
Just to state my opinion about projectile weapons, I don't think gunpowder (or any explosive, except possibly some sort of magic) should be around in Roawia. I feel that it would change too much.

Yeah I've asked before if gunpowder was allowed in LCC. It's not. So no canons. You'll have to take her majesty fair and square!

I read through Brother Steven's post again and realized I had misinterpreted it. An indestructible (or nigh on indestructible) suit of armor wouldn't necessarily have to be magical to combat a magic user; just of master craftsmanship i.e. Dwarven metal, dragon scale armor, ancient "holy" relic, etc.. It could be used in tandem with a mythic sword or in place of one. Just stating, though, that I'm okay with anything so long as we can rescue the Jarl; my allegiance, in the absence of a High King, is to the leader of Garheim.

As for the advent of gunpowder, I agree that it would change too much and ought not be included - even by magic users; that would just be overkill on their part.

In the 8x8 phase one entry, is it permissible to have any overhang? In my MOC There is only one stud that overhangs by half a stud (but I can fix if necessary). It's hard to explain without showing any pictures.

What about mini figure accessories such as weapons. Are they allowed to overhang?

Thanks!

"Reasonable Overhang" is fine. We'll reserve the right to evaluate on a case-by-case basis, but as long as it's not more than a stud or two (particularly for something like foliage) then it should be fine. :)

For the unrestricted category, can I substitute the length? For example, can I build a 36x30? The amount of studs would still be the same as 30x30. :)

Great Global Challege!
I have tons of ideas what I could build for this challenge.

You say no open conflict with the queen's troops. Does that mean I am not allowed to build a MOC that shows a bunch of proud men from Garheim killing a small batallion and taking prisoners to torture and interrogate them?
