Thanks for your responses (and to the FO's for allowing me to do this and the hard work they put into organising the LCC). I've updated the first post with the final results. Apologies for the delay, I was away then was busy with work.

Nice results! I am surprised to see that so few people wanted the queen gone! Long live Queen Galianir  :P ! Thanks, this was a really cool survey :D !

Yeah the fact that almost 2x as many people want the queen to stay vs. those who want her gone was a big surprise for me!

I'm very surprised people want the queen in longer as all they seemed to talk about was rebellion after rebellion. But now it seems like everyone is settling into the oppression and having fun making the best of it so that's always cool. I honestly didn't want her in any longer as war is bad for business but I think I know how to make this very lucrative  That was a great survey and very nice to see how everyone feels whether that changes events or not. Thanks again Andhe!

Thanks for running the survey! I learned a lot about how other LCC'ers view the game. I, for one, want to usurp the Queen, but only if we can free the Jarl... and, I guess, the Prince and Lord T, I wouldn't mind if Galainir remained Queen of the Outlaws, so long as the other three factions had their leaders back. This Knight Ranger is getting a bit tired of hiding. :raiseone:

That's what I want too (As long as the queen stops being so selfish  !) !

Excellent! Thanks for doing this Andhe, it's very enlightening!

That said, i was one of those who voted for the Queen to stay. I think having a villain with staying power- not to mention the fact that its nice to have a faction that almost everyone can band together against. Personally, I would prefer it if the Queen wins a few more rounds here, its nice to have good villains who can outplay you at every turn, keeps things interesting!

I think we've learned a lot here.

1.) People may roleplay and say they want the queen gone, but are really satisfied with the story.
2.) I think this is directly correlated to some of the responses given, that want events to have a lasting impact in Roawia (as they would in a real world setting).
3.) People may complain and moan about the story from time to time, but ultimately, they find enjoyment in the freedom of building anything with the restriction of tampering with the global storyline.
4.) Deep down, the LCC community really enjoys plot twists (For example, a great plot twist would be the Areani actually work for Galainir and killed the king themselves to start the war. Another plot twist would be Chartres retrieves the true sword of Karlamac, but then becomes corrupted himself, or retrieves it and becomes King while banishing Galainir to the Outlaw Isles making her their "leader").

But enough with that. Great survey Andhe, so glad you made it.

This furthers my thoughts that the LCC is a giant "sandbox." The sand only goes for so long, and you can't play with the sand outside of the sandbox. However inside, you can build and play and do whatever you'd like. In otherwords, the boundariers are small and out of the way in the LCC and give us the freedom to build and play within it. I think this is such a big draw to the community.

I fully agree with SSchmidt, he makes a very good point! Every time there's been a plot twist (Galainir becoming evil, for example, though many guessed it) the community has responded extremely well, and each GC has brought excitement, that's been reflected in the amount of MOCs entered. Personally, I love the freedom of the LCC, how you can have your own character's story going on at the same time as major events are taking place. It's simple to keep the two together, i.e. you can alter your own planned story very easily when a GC comes along.
