Greetings Roleplayers!

Questions and comments regarding the CCRP should be posted here. Additions to the continuing epic should be posted in this thread.

Let the adventure continue!

PS. Good luck with the recap, Nick! Hope to see it before April.

O.K., I think I'm finally ready to start, is there someone I should e-mail, or should I just put my charecter here?

Sorry, Sir Dillon, I hope someone's replied to you by now. Assuming that you have read the Roleplay (or at least the recaps and the past month), and all the rules, you can post your character(s) here, and once Nathan approves them, you can start posting.

It had been four years now. Four years of decadence and decay, all under the eyes of a dying man. Richard IV was finally dying. Well, he was his brother, but still – he had done a miserable job as king. Now things could be set right.

Robert sat out in the main hallway. The door opposite him was the Richard’s bedchamber where he now slept in a coma. The heir apparent shook his head. For four years the treasury had dwindled as the nobility began to show signs of outward rebellion, taking the tax income for themselves. Only a few outwardly claimed they served the king, and even those could not be trusted.
And then there was the army, if you could call it that. With little pay and no training, many had deserted, roaming Dametreos as mercenaries. Even worse was the state of the navy. Fifteen years ago, piracy had all been eradicated by the Crusader navy which had once boasted magnificent ships of the line, armed with two decks of bastillas. Now most had been sold for scrap, and those that remained rotted at the wharf. Worst of all was the economy. Food shortages were rampant, and the unusually heavy winter only compounded the problem. To travel the roads at night was an invitation to be robbed, and last year renegade Falcons had even begun to burn villages. It was truly surprising that no one had tried to invade – even the Eastern Knight Kingdomer’s could have walked over them.

As the hours went by and morning turned to dusk, Robert continued to formulate his plans. Once king, things would be set right.
Interesting post, Nick, and I think its about time that the Crusaders got a bit more of the attention that they deserved, but I hope that you don't intend on getting mixed up in their politics as deeply as you are in the Falcon ones. The Roleplay is, after all, about stories of people, not tales of whole kingdoms.

Don't worry Mike - I will try to work on character development alot more - I simply find it easier to write background events instead of actual conversations ;)

Just a note to all - Dan has agreed to remove his post concerning Martin - this is so I can do character development more comprehensively.

That's all for now

Nick

It's not a huge deal...

I'm just concerned that you're taking control of another country.

Now, there's nothing WRONG persay, with the countries being more or less in the hands of one or two Roleplayers. Goodness knows that I'm guilty myself of more or less taking control of the Classics. I'm just a bit concerned that new RPers coming in will be overwhelmed by all the power concentrated in the hands of the oldies, and will be afraid to do anything for fear of upsetting the powers that be.

Well...

That's my big theory anyway. In actual fact, I just prefer small stories to big politics (although I have penchant for those too. See Emperor Constantius).

Don't take me too seriously, just bear in mind that it's nice to have a few countries where the hierarchy is kind of vague, and you are thus able to have minor adventures without worrying about the authorities.

w00t! It's only March 3 and we're already on two pages! Nick, brace yourself for the next recap!

OK, just for everyone's information, Freya has now changed to Aaylah. The character is the same, only her name has changed.

Oh, Nick, a minor point: the Crusaders are not short on food resources: fields, orchards, hunting grounds, etc. They are low on other supplies, like wood. That is why the Forestmen are now trading with their long-time enemies the Crusaders, the Forestmen need food and the Crusaders need wood.

Dillon: That's a cool character, I'll try to get you registered by Friday!

When I entered the thread, it still had no new posts, so I assumed once I scrolled down and read your (brand-new) post, that it had been there since I last checked it a couple days ago...

Well, that's the real story. A more entertaining one would be that I was making a joke...

Awesome job on you latest post Nate - it's good to see Void is back. For some reason he is so - likeable...

Also, do I smell another movie tribute?
At a small trading post near the edge of the desert Lord Void had demanded a mount, and when the wizened old man had not recognized Lord Void and refused with out payment, Lord Void had killed him and his wife with a flesh-searing blast. Then after raiding their white-domed hut,

:D *inncently hums Star Wars theme song...*

Well, I felt it certainly fit this time, unlike my forced TITANIC parady.

And yes, it feels good to have Void back to his evil, twisted, scheming self...the only question is, who will die next?

Best line ever 8)
I have a new character he is an NPC I added him because there weren't many people in the Legoland Hierarchy, and its just easier for everybody.

Character's Name: Sir Rillian
Character's Age: 51
Character's Background: Sir Rillian is a high ranking knight in the Cavaliers. He never really had any ambition besides that of serving the Emperor. He manages all the problems too minor for the Emperor to be worried about.
Character's Faction: Classic Legoland
Character's Equipment: Sword
Character's Place in Hierarchy: Advisor to the Emperor
Other Information: He is a very capable soldier but has grown fat over the years. If there is any major problem he would rather handle it himself then send one of the lower ranking soldiers.

OK.

A note to all with pending characters and membership, my appollogies. I was planning to get all of your pages uploaded today, but I had to go to an unexpected wedding.

I promise all the pages will be up my Monday.
