Heres the new LEGO/Starwars game. It looks really cool and I've heard it's fun, but the difficulty is permeantly set on easy. :?

I'm tempted to get it for my gameboy :) . It looks interesting to say the least, but it can't live up to Rogue Squadron or Knights of the Republic. On the plus side, this does look like it could be the best Lego-produced game yet!

Well, it's Lego gaming so it can't be that hard. At least it's not "build your way through the game" like other Lego games.

If you want a good game for GBA, then Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is the way to go. It is rather castley so don't lock the thread please, Admins. Anyhoo, they make you keep playing the game in order to get the whole story line. If you stop because it's boring (yeah right!) or whatever; in the deep recesses of your mind you will always want to know how the game ends.

Its a fun game (I'm talking about Lego Star Wars, don't know anything about Kingdom of Hearts) and it does take a while to beat. Sure, the difficulty is set low, but there is a lot of hidden stuff that will keep you coming back. And the humor is fun, lots of poking fun at the whole Star Wars concept.

Josh

PS. My son got it for Christmas and I have beat it. :)

I Think it's an awesome game!!!! :D :D

The problem is.....

To play it on the computer, you need a fancy graphics card that is really hard to come by!

Do you know a place to get the Pixelshader v. 1.1 for free?

Yeah, I downloaded the demo, but then found out I don't own a good enough graphics card for it... :|

I managed to pick up a copy for Xbox. This is an all around great game! But due to the easy difficulty, you might not be willing to spend fifty bucks for it.

Hopefully, one day, they'll make a Castle type game...

The same thing happened to me!!!!!!

The demo would not work! I figured I am not searching for a graphics card.

While we are talking video games, have any of you played the Hobbit? IT ROCKS!!

You don't need a fancy graphics card, but you do need one that supports Pixelshader v1.1 (like you say). Unfortunately, you cannot get that for free (unless someone gives you a free graphics card), as it refers to hardware on the graphics card and software in the drivers.
EIDOS Tech Support wrote:The most likely cause is your video card does not support Pixel Shader 1.1. As it states on the game box, you must have a video card that supports Pixel Shader 1.1 for LEGO: Star Wars to run. Unless you are running an Nvidia GeForce 3 ti, 4 ti, or FX, 6000 or an ATI Radeon 8500, or Radeon 9000 series, or X series card, this game will not run. None of the Nvidia GeForce MX, or GeForce 2/GTS/GO video cards are supported, as they lack the Pixel Shader chip on the card itself. On-board Intel (82810, 82845, 82845G, 82865G) video chips are not supported, as they lack nearly all the required hardware needed to run LEGO: Star Wars.

***Please note Nvidia TNT cards and ATI Rage cards are also NOT supported***

Please Note: Customers with systems running the Intel 82915G video chip will not be able to play Lego: Star Wars. Although the 915G chipset does support Pixel Shader v2.0, it does not support Hardware Transform and Lighting (T&L). Hardware TnL is a basic DirectX 9.0 function which is not supported by any Intel video chip. As Lego: Star Wars does use Hardware T&L along with Pixel Shader, this game will not run on any Intel Graphics chip.
I saw several cards on NewEgg for around $50 that should run the game. Also, note that if you have more than one CPU (like me) the game has other issues. The game is quite fun to play though, so I do highly recommend it.
Hoping to have a witty signature and cool avatar one day.

I wanted this game since it first came out, but the only gaming platform I have is our computer, which is a Macintosh. It doesn't run on a Mac !
Learning French.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

I got it around June last year. As both a fan of Lego and Videogames I left feeling completely satisfied and definately hungry for more!

I am really looking forward to the sequel, and even if the formula isn't modified at all I still think it will be fantastic.

And on the subject of a castle-ey themed videogame in t same vein, I think the Harry Potter licence could easily be transferred, with magic being used to shift Lego components instead of the force.
