CC roleplay and gunpowder

I'm curious, is the usage of gunpowder allowed in CC roleplay? The medieval age(which I am assuming CC roleplay is meant to roughly represent except with fantasy creatures and magic added) lasted from 950 to 1547 if I am correct, and gunpowder was first used for warfare in roughly 1240(but since this is fantasy, it's quite possible that normal physics don't exist). I have read 1 or 2 of the archives and I never read the mention of a musket, rifle, or cannon or simply forgot that I read it. If I'm wrong about any of these facts or if there's a thread about this please inform me.

-Thanks for any coments, nazgul

No.

The use of gunpowder was prohibited in the old Classic-Castle Roleplay. I do not know if Nathan intends the same in the new, upcoming Roleplay, but I would think it a safe assumption.

It isn't locked yet? just kidding

I think this roleplay should be slightly based on the existed castle sets...
I've never seen using guwnpowder in any of them...

I think that played a part in the decision... if only in that it influenced the founders' minds in that direction.

But to say that there are NO guns... well, that's not quite true. I'm sure quite what that Bull Knight cannons are powered by, but gunpowder would be the first logical assumption.

I'm leaving the thread open, since it's not a duplicate, and there's no need to close it.

Do you mean you're not quite sure? Because it makes no sense as is...

Just curious,
Nazgul.

Well I think we met the first armors at this point that cannot be presented in the real world (and the others could be  ) and which purpose is directly and only A TOY...
But if we had to go that far to explain those... yeah, I also think that gunpowder would be the first logical explanation...

I mean that in actuality, the cannons in the Bull Knight sets are spring-powered, and since we can imagine as we wish... maybe those are giant spring-loaded cannons.

But cannons present in those official sets or no, cannons and all guns (and gunpowder) are still prohibited in the RP.

It would be kind of strange to see a group of foot soldiers charging a company of riflemen.

Actually that was pretty much what happened when the british/united states "introduced" thier weaponry to japan.
(for those of you who are interseted in true facts, please correct me from my current state of mind)

Not to dis Nathen or anything but if you`re doing all the managing here (At least in the forum),shouldn't you have the right to decide some stuff?

Please, I beg you, no gunpowder,

Evryone know what the bulls cannons where powered by:

A big metal spring.

We could just drop that weapon anyway. It was just lego's new way of catching an eye buy saying "shooting action!", so it shouldn't be considered part of the faction.

I am doing all of the deciding stuff, for all intents and purposes. But I put these little reminders in for good reason: I am beholden to a higher authority, and it is well for me (and others) to remember that. I also consider Nathan my closest friend on this forum, so a little respect doesn't hurt there either.

But, most importantly here, when I wrote that post, it was before I'd taken effective control of the new Roleplay establishment. Take a look at that date: back around mid-August. I've only been effectively making things happen with the new Roleplay for the last week or so. Now that I HAVE taken the reins, I'm going to definitively declare that there will be NO gunpowder.

As always, this ruling is subject to appeal and/or revision from the powers that outrank me (in Roleplay matters, that is Nathan). :P
