Hi all,

This is a few months late, but I've been looking at galleries of the LEGO Fanwelt event held in Cologne last November 6-9 and realized these were never posted in this forum. There are tons of great castles, cathedrals and related MOCs, and those Germans build HUGE. Who from the forum was there? Can you give us any report on this fest, or help identify the builders of some of these? Add links to galleries in this thread.

Gray castle up on the cliff also by Maria Sillus, Marion, Lukas und Volker Draschka?

There are more if you got to Picishare and search on "Fanwelt" - It seems Timo Beils does not have a Flickr Pro account, so I can't just link to his gallery, but you can go to the individual images via the search engine.

This, I think, might turn out to be a serious understatement. I was amazed at the sheer magnitude of some of the creations!

The MOCs seem so very big and with detail that I can only hope to one day come close to. My favorite "scene" would be what looks to be a recreation of a battle from the crusades. The best part of the scene has to be those amazingly crafted seige machines (perhaps a trebuchet?). Anyway, some very creative MOCs, thanks for the pictures...

Indeed some very fine work there. I'd love to get to something like that sometime. Looks like a real neat event. Love the clifftop monastary to name just one of the many neat presentations there.

Just was browsing here and saw the pictures of the seige weapons. Very very nice. Does anyone have more pictures of them? As a side note, were trebuchets really that large compared to minifigs?
