Some planning-related questions:

1) Are we doing BpB (Baspeplate + Brick for newer members) as the base this year?

2) Are we going "classic" or 8cres for CCC wall modules?

1. Yes. BPB for the edges. You can do whatever you want in the middle but the edges should be bpb. Unless you make other arrangements with the people you are neighbors with. I will have a large sea again and my coastlines will be BPB but the water is just blue baseplates.

2. I will leave that up to the people who are making walls. Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Sounds fun. I could bring wall sections for a group castle, or I could bring my castle and knights from my newest castle. (Found here.) If I was to bring wall pieces, I couldn't supply enough to do a whole castle, so I would need other people to bring wall pieces. Now for the questions. Would I still be charged as an exhibitor, 0r would they charge the group exhibit in general? (I'm guessing answer A.) Also, are we going to have a general faction, or would it be a mix of whatever people bring? If you can answer my questions, that would be greatly appreciated.

I vote for 'classic'.

I got a bunch of old wall sections in a recent draft so I am in the mood to make CCC wall sections. I am hoping to make an interior corner, a gatehouse and at least two straight sections. I'd be happy for "classic" spacing built on top of BpB.

Sounds good. Whichever you want to do is fine, or both. Ironically, we always seem to be a bit short on actual castles.

Everyone is charged the same. You pay to attend the Con. That's the only fee. Then you display whatever you bring. The armies of figs will be made up of whatever people have. I'm sure every faction will be represented. We, the Castle people, are really good about keeping everyone's figs from getting mixed up. Last year we had a battle that involved nearly 2500 figs and no one lost any (that I'm aware of).

Sounds like Classic CCC spacing wins. Ted, I'm dropping you a PM.

Build On!

Seeing as I suffer from theme ADD with plans to bring mecha, a VV, space, something for BB Big in Japan as well as Castley goodness I don't think I'll be able to commit to any wall sections. I'm sure I'll have some fun stuff to contribute but I'm a bit of a build by the seat of my pants guy so who knows. Getting stoked now that registration is finally open and our LUG is starting to plan its travel down to Seattle.

No worries. We consider our Canadian bretheren to be "local" anyway. :)

What day are ya'll arriving? Are you all still interested in doing the CC Dinner Meetup? If so, looking at the schedule, Thursday seems to be the easiest day without bumping into official con business (and sessions to delay!). We can still be back in time for the no-host bar.

I'm planning to get there as early on Thursday as I can so I can get setting up, so I'm in for dinner. I don't know if my wife will be though, she may want to get her mom and the kids settled in and meet up with us later.

Does anyone know how big the tables are? I think they're the same as one of the tables I have here at home and it's 30"x60" but I've been known to be wrong on occaision.

Just an annoucement:

Ted will be coordinating the CCC (Classic Castle City) wall sections. I much appreciate him being willing to take that on.

I think that is about right. I know 3 baseplates are slightly less than the width of the tables. Its the length I can't remember exactly.

Table size should be 30"x96" a full 8 feet long.

Josh, thank you for coordinating Castle again.

My pleasure, though I have delegated some aspects. What theme are you building this year? Any Castley bits? :)

It looks like our traditional Thursday road trip is on: 10:00am Coho to Port Angeles - lunch @ Snug Harbour- Bainbridge ferry - Seattle Center in time for dinner.
