Brickslopes 2014

Post by CoreyMitchell »

edit* I thought I should add, I have nothing to do with Brickslopes except I'm a Utah AFOL who wants this convention to go well. Thanks for reading.

Hello everyone! I don't do a lot of posting online but I wanted to just put out a quick reminder BRICKSLOPES the LEGO fan event in Utah this year. Public viewing days May 2nd and 3rd or register for the 4 day AFOL - TFOL passes. BrickSlopes Registration and Info

They have room for MOC display, tons of activities planned to take part of and of course a meet and greet dinner for all who would like to spend more time getting to know some of the many builders from all over the country that plan to attend!

They also have planned to have Gary McIntire, a former LEGO designer and one of the few titled "Master LEGO Builder" as a Keynote Speaker with Q&A panel.

Some of the featured vendors that will be making an appearance include;

Citizen Brick • Custom Printed Figs
Model Building Secrets • Stickers/Custom Mosaic
Modern Brick Warfare • Custom Warfare
BrickMania • BrickArm reseller
Miss Courageous • LEGO Jewelery

and a few more still in the negotiation process

Mid-West LEGO fans don't miss out on the opportunity to spend some quality time with what is sure to be an amazing crew of AFOL's from around the country! Get to the site and register for your own custom Brick Badge and MOC space before its too late!

For all of you who didn't make the event, here are some photos:

We had 5000 paying adults (not counting their kids under 9 and since this was SLC, there were a lot of kids) come view the creations. Super talented builders were showcased. Two master builders were in attendance. Prizes galore were awarded, with most registered attendees receiving at least three. I think this could become the big event for those of us living in the mountain west (I'm looking at you Nevada, Idaho, Arizona, Utah (obviously), Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Montana, Wyoming). I'm practically gushing about how great it was. And, its not my first con, so don't think I'm just a hyperactive newbie...
