new BrickFest event idea "Castle: Total BrikWar"

Post by JPinoy »

The idea came to me after watching some video of a game I've been wanting to get but won't until an expansion pack comes out along with the original. The game is ROME: TOTAL WAR.

Im sure many of us has seen this game with its massive army battles. For those who haven't had the pleasure... take a look here:
http://uk.gamesdomain.yahoo.com/pc/rome ... view/45715

Now you see where the name comes from. And as such I think the event/game should live up to such a name.

Now here's the idea, basically this will be the event version of the Battles Contest. It won't be simply displaying army battles on nice little scenery, but rather several Castlehead AFOLs teaming up to engage in a massive Castle army BrikWar against one another during BrickFest or any other Lego convention events. Two people with 50 minifigs each can team up against a guy with 100 minifigs, so that way it won't end up being so uneven.

Come on guys, admins, its time we get our own Castle version of "evil stevie's pirate game" during these AFOL convention events.

BTW, it would also be a good idea to use toothpick and color paper to make flags to determine which minifig soldier belongs to whom. Unless the minifig has a totally unique look that others will recognize as the design of a particular AFOL.

Hey,

It sounds really cool to me. If I'm able to attend an upcoming convention I'd love to take part in such a thing.

I'm moving this to "Displays" as it is not so much about a MOC as about planning for an event. I suppose it could also fit in "Gaming".

Later,
Bruce

I have all Total War games including their respective expansions.... except Rome. I'll get it once the Gold Edition that has both Rome and whatever expansion comes out with it.

Please get back on topic.

Don't think so. Your troops will walk into a meat grinder against the Chu Ko Nu soldiers.

There's other factions, but maybe I shouldn't enter the "Ancients" themselves. They'd pwn too much.

----

Enough about who can beat who. How will this work out if any of us were to part take in such a massive BrikWar?

BTW, Im not sure if I can make BrickFest this year.
