announcement:
"Classic-Castle's own Lenny Hoffman (City Admin) will be making the trip to BrickFest PDX in Portland. We want to build the biggest 3CS City yet, but he's going to need your help!

This is an open call for everyone and anyone to send thier 3CS creations (and we know you have some) to Lenny, so he can display them at BrickFest. Follow the Post for more information."

Okay guys, now that I actually know what I'm talking about, here's the shimmy:

West Coast castle is fairly weak, with only a few guys doing big layouts (Specifically Tom Rafert and Stephen Fisher). Since their layouts are already made, they won't be able to incorporate into my 3CS City.

However, I still want this to be the biggest full 3CS City EVER - and that means I'm going to need help!

What I'd like to see is some of the amazing contest entries being shipped to me, where I will display them along with the rest of my city. I will include display cards at the Fest to make sure everyone gets proper credit.

If you don't want to ship a full-scale MOC, I'd be more than happy to include as many sig-figs as I can get.

To make this even sweeter, I will try to help with shipping costs as much as I can (depending on how many people are sending stuff, my funds, etc). If you think you might be interested, please email me at glencaer at classic-castle dot com.

Just a question, would they be returned?

Just a question, would they be returned?
Obviously, YES!

Most probably, my "help" with shipping would be to pay the return postage. It is not my intention that these would be gifts to myself or PDX or anything, nor do I wish to steal anyone's creations.

For example: I'm also a part of an organization called SciBrick http://www.scibrick.org/ which does science-fiction based lego displays, rather than medieval. Well, SciBrick did a fairly big show in Houston that was a part of a Memorial Gala for the Challenger. Various members of SciBrick mailed their creations to Houston so they could be displayed at the Gala.

If you look here, you can see a red shuttle in the background to the right: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=557177

That is what I shipped to the event (and shipped back from the event, etc)

Since I leave for PDX on wednesday, I'd suggest making sure your MOC is shipped no later than February 4th.

I promise to treat your creation with the same care and love I treat my own, and it will get back to you in as good as condition as it got to me.

I will be trying my darndest to bring my barbershop, and space (1) and time permitting, something else 3CS related.

As to what that is, it's a surprise. I may not get to finish it, or it may not fit in my luggage so...

1 - no, not .space! Man the defenses!
