My Castle WAMALUG display in Tyson's Corner Lego Store

I put my castle display into the window this past Sunday at the Tyson's Corner, VA store. The pictures I have of it are from the set-up at the LUG meeting beforehand since my camera batteries died. I'll try to get some pics of it in the window another time. Only thing different is that I put in a lot of ground greenery in the display, but not in the set-up.

Another LUG member took some pics and his BS gallery is moderated, so you can check out some other REALLY good pics (he is tall, and got some angles I couldn't).

If you're coming to Brickfest this year you can check it out there!

All I can say is that I feel sorry for Vladek's forces, they're going to be slaughtered.

One of my co-workers went and took some pics of it in the display case.

Check 'em out!

Now that is a scorpian! very cool.

I like how you used a nicely-fortified Yellow Castle with a good bunch of the Classic Castle knights too (hence your title). This is a really nice display, and you put a lot of cool siege machines (monsters) and a big castle in a small amount of space...

Sure to make another generation of lil' ones drool in envy as they walk by the corner window... well done!

This is certainly impressive display, but that scorpion is really un-classic...
However, great landscaping and accessories like those siege machines are...

Yup, that's the point. The Shadow knights here are representing everything about the current castle line we don't like, and how it is attacking the foundation laid by the classic castle lines. So, I tried to use a lot of ugly parts, especially those bionicle walking legs and the giant flame emitters.

And that's why I was rooting for the classics(wow, talk about stating the obvious, ah well, c'est la vie...).

Ahh, so that was yours! I was in the store and stopped to admire the display for a bit. Very nice work, and I love the theme. ;)

Thanks Jamie. Perhaps I should have put a sign in there somewhere that it was mine? Ahh well, too late now!
