TexLUG was invited back to the Healthy Baby and Child Expo in San Antonio, Texas, this year, and I think it was a pretty successful event.

Our display featured a single main-line train loop traversing four different distinct areas - moonbase, winter/vikings, Harry Potter, and town. We also had a wireless camera set up on whatever train was on the main line sending a signal to a TV on the display, giving visitors a train's-eye view of the layout.

On a personal level, this was a great event for me because I was able to see all four of my steam train MOCs running on a huge layout. The Polar Express was by far the crowd favorite, with my little 4-4-0 being more popular with the older 'kids'. Plus- no train motors died this time! Woo!

Hehe! There's a ton of humor in these pics! I like the line of Harry Potters (a nice commentary on an over-produced fig) and the appearance of dragons everywhere! The replacing of the dragon at the cave with Batman, and the skeleton (althoguh a touch morbid) are also quite humerous. Those Scala dolls sure are creapy though!

I also really like those mountain sculptures. Obviously they were not meant to be direct copie, but nice sculpted representations of mountians. They look stunning in the display, very noticable.

Your section and trains look great there (as does the baby )! The train tracks were a nice idea to tie the whole thing together. Nice work to all those there. This seems like a nice event, thanks for sharing pics!

Thanks for showing these. I really like the whole display, including the integration of the different themes. I loved the Quidditch pitch. Also, the landscaping and trains were great. Finally, the recurring pattern of the dragons was a nice way to unify the whole display, so it didn't look random.

Wow, I would love to be involved in something like this. My fav part is the Viking wyvern hatching out of the space egg The Viking display worked out really well too. Great job Texluggers!

Very cool. I like the clone troopers in a nod to Abbey Road. I see how the Viking scene fit into the overall layout. When did this ocur? Which one were you Tony?

March 3rd and 4th. If you're asking if I'm in one of the photos in the gallery, no such luck. That's the benefit to being the man behind the camera.

If you're asking which clone am I - none. I'm one of a kind, you can't clone me!
