Pickering Castle

Post by architect »

Today I was talking to Danny who lives in the UK. He recently got back from holiday and visited Pickering Castle. I had not heard of this castle and decided to do a web search on it.

I really like this castle and it has some wonderful ideas for LEGO castles. I particularly like Rosamund's Tower.

What do you think of Pickering Castle?

That's a cool castle. But it would take a LOT of green bricks to build the motte. I like the square towers and the gatehouse has given me some ideas...

Thanks for posting this.

It would be very cool to see someone try to build a motte and bailey castle, or maybe a stone castle with a motte, which looked like it had begun as a M& B castle.

That is an awesome castle! Yes, it would be great to do a LEGO version of it (Dr. Carney? :D ).
