Wanted: writers/contributors for Castle project

Post by wobnam »

OK, here's the deal: I'm looking to get in touch with writers/co-creators/contributors for a LEGO castle/medieval/fantasy theme/setting project.

I've been kicking an idea around for a while, but to take it further I need help. First of all, I don't feel my english skills are up to the task, so I need someone who can put ideas into words. Second, multiple heads think better than one. I have some major parts figured out, but it's always good to bounce ideas and I'm very open to suggestions and contributions.

You must:
- be fairly fluent at writing english
- be into LEGO Castle
- want to work on this kind of project, if it appeals to you

It's also and advantage if you:
- have some knowledge of/interest in the middle ages and/or the fantasy genre
- (think you might) enjoy writing in a fantasy-ish style
- are creative
- build

Don't worry, I'm not writing a book or anything. The actual writing part won't take much time, but it's the one thing I definitely can't do alone, thus the emphasis.

If you think this might be fun and something you want to be part of, send me a PM or contact me via MSN or e-mail for more info.

If you have any questions about medieval life, armour, war etc. just give me a shout. If you prefer to read it yourself or just have me tell you the answer its not problem I can pm or email you book info or such info as I have. I would love to be more helpful but I am writing a book for my job currently and do not think I have much more time for such a big project. I could proof also sections as well.

Good luck.

Probably not.

Sounds interesting, wobnam, if a little ambiguous. What exactly are we looking at here?

From what he told me, it is essentially creating a world, much like what J.R.R. Tolkien did, thought I doubt he wants to spend his whole life on it, so that is why he is asking for help.

He wants to make a world, with certain 'rules'. I'm not sure exactly what this means, but I'm sure he'll be more than happy to explain further, though it would be best to contact him through a PM.

Also, he wants to set up guidelines for MOCs. I guess this means that if you make a MOC of the world, it will have to contain something, somehow, that is related to it.

As he didn't want to explain things to openly in public, I'll not say more. If you are interested at all, send him a PM with any questions you may have, and I'm sure he'll be more than glad to answer them.

In Christ,
Thomas Wunz <><
