What are your favorite medieval weapon?

@Aharown: It can be either because if you notice most people have put weapons that could be either real or lego.

I'm glad to see that everyone has their own favorite weapon (Or weapons) that are unique to them.

Heh... mine would be a spear. It is probably the oldest real weapon around. it can be used with both one and two hands and thus can be used from behind a shield. it is a decent anti-cavalry weapon and can be a dangerous missile when in hands of a skilled thrower. unfortunateley, apart from stabbing and throwing there is no other attack possibility. and when the enemy is close the weapon is prety much useless.

1) shield (yes I like surviving :wink: )
2) onehanded sword (light, more agile)
3) mace
4) lance (when on a horse, else it looks rather silly)

1.Gladius.(Roman sword)
2.Pilum (Roman spear)

My favorite medieval weapon would be the Katana.

BTW. Were leaf-bladed swords ever used or are they just an invention of great fantasy minds?

Leaf blades were very common with the celts. The Museum of London and British Museum have loads of them.
