Merlin

Post by lord azreal »

Merlin is an interesting TV series based on the legends of Merlin, and Prince Arthur, on every saturday on BBC one, (so bad luck to all non UK dwellers) but Im sure you can watch the episodes on youtube, its a good source of inspiration and is heavily fantasy based, might be useful, I for one am interested in perhaps making some decals to represent the knights and soldiers of camelot.

Just thought Id let you all know :D

edit: heres a link to the Merlin website: http://www.bbc.co.uk/merlin/
If you are reading this it means I have posted! - congratulate your find and remember this day

NBC bought the rights before the show even aired, so I do believe the US is getting it at some point. I've heard some even say it's a collaboration between the two networks, but i'm not too sure about that.

For what it's worth, it's an interesting show. It's light-hearted fun, and while i'm not a die-hard follower thus far, the episodes I have seen have been pretty good. Eitherway, it's a lot better than the Robin Hood nonsense the BBC tried to put out previously.

It would be nice to get something like that from the Nothin' But Cr@p network which until Heroes and Night Rider 2008 has been lackluster.

look I know this is an old topic but let me just tell you something ; Merlin is too young, when king arthur was 40 merlin was supposed to be 172. So I think theres a bit of an age gap dont you. Merlin is just to young. Arthur at that time is about 20...so merlin should be 152. :)

Merlin ages backwards....so the older he gets the younger he looks. ;)

That looks like a good mini-series, I look forward to the DVD release.

When I saw the page title, at first I thought you were referring to the movie starring Sam Neill and Miranda Richardson, among others. It is not bad. Here is the Internet Movie Database page on it: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0130414/

It appears that the new BBC series is trouncing this 1998 film in terms of ratings though, so far.
