Thanks, but yes, Im not sure. TTK mentioned them and I thought they were, but besides, alot of things we didnt know existed back then existed, did you for example know that there actually was a form of martial arts that circulated europe back then?JoshWedin wrote:PS. At the top of the list, you said that this a list of blunt medieval weapons. Were brass knuckles used in Medieval times?
Yeah, I would be interested to know. I am not saying they weren't, I just was not aware of it. And I think I did know about the martial arts, it sounds familiar anyway. The Hordesman wrote: Thanks, but yes, Im not sure. Best to remain a question for TTK!
Possibly not, but what about Caestus? Basically boxing gloves, but often with bands of metal across the knuckles. It's a Roman origination, don't know if it carried into the middle ages, but it might be worth looking into. The Hordesman wrote:Thanks, but yes, Im not sure. Corsiar, a bit of advice... if you have nothing to add to the topic, do not post. Instead, do more reading to better educate yourself on the customs of the forums and medieval history in general.Legendary_Corsair wrote:The Hordesman wrote:Im mostly looking in weapon specific books, since they are the best (the most others give the actual historical events the most space).
It may not be 100% correct in all means, but atleast its easier when talking to eachother.
I wish I could get a hold of some old knights weapons and armor books, then I could post some stuff on here and it wouldn't hurt to do some reading.
