Have you see bricklink?
Brown Horses less than $3.00: http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=my ... ID=2668699 store is in Canada.

Black Horses New $1.25 http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=mk ... ID=2733308 store is in the US

Black Horse Used $2.00
http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Le ... ID=2730474 store is in Germany

Black Dragon Wings $0.05:
http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Ba ... ID=1997326 store is in the US

Now these are just a few links and there are many others. None are to my store, so I'm not trying to make any profit here, just I have dealt with some of the store mentioned and the brown horses in Canada are a great deal. Most buyers will take non paypal payments if that is a problem for you. Always check bricklink first. Good luck,

Will
After a long absence, I have returned. I can't wait to start building again.

Sorry, but I wouldn't part with my horses for less than $3-$4 a piece (which is more than they are worth). Check eBay. You might be able to get horses that cheap if you're patient.

Just register at BrickLink.com. Most of us here have horses, but as Castle fans and with mounted knight armies, we're perhaps the least likely group of Lego fans to sell horses.

Last winter, I got these at BrickLink.com for $52.00+ minus S&H from a German seller.

BTW, I am "Peoples_General" in BrickLink.com and most other Lego sites. Too bad CC.com couldn't handle the 15 character name.
