Lego 1x1 bricks question

Post by soccerkid6 »

I just ordered quite a few black 1x1 bricks from bricklink, I noticed some of them do not have the word Lego on top and the edges are a little more rounded. Are these clone bricks, or did Lego use to make them differently. I bought them used; is it possible to rub the Lego insignia off so much that you can't see it at all?

The funny thing is that they are just extra pieces. They also sent me 1 black headlight brick and 1 black technic 1x1 brick extra. I let them know, although they probably won't care.

Thanks for any help.

If you could post a picture of the questioned bricks that would probably help. Lots of clone bricks do have more rounded edges than normal lego.
You would rather be building right now.

It is possible to wear off the Lego logo but its highly unlikely. I've only seen that once and it was on a very well-loved keychain (that happens to belong to a certain deified plum). I don't think the odds are good that these are Lego. But if they were free, you can't really complain, right?

Yeah, I have no intention of complaining, I was just wondering. Thanks for the answer.

Maybe the seller included them just for laughs and is now googling if anyone posted about it somewhere on the internet
