This is locked for a day...the time for joining the list of people is over.

Please remember, someone who you are partnered with IS going to send you something. They are going to send you something that they would be proud to receive themselves. If all you are going to do is send a 50 cent fig, well...go back and read the original post for this activity. And if all you do is indeed send a 50 cent fig, your participation in other activities at CC may be limited. This is about the Holiday spirit, make someone happy.

Please feel free to post the picture of your fig after you receive it.

Once the list has been posted, it is your responsibility to contact your partner to get their address. Feel free to discuss the fig, if you want, but be aware that your partner may not want to, for they like to surprise. And yes...do not be surprised if you receive a rare and amazing fig...for in the list of participants exists a few people who sends the rare and wonderful (one specific person has in the past gifted an original forest woman).

LofO and I have been corresponding about this, and I have to say that I'm quite excited. Should we wait until Christmas to open them / post pics? lol

Can't wait to see what everyone gets!

PS, has anyone ever thought about running a white elephant gift exchange on this forum? That would be a blast!

Posting pictures is entirely up to you. Sometimes people post, sometimes they don't. It all depends on what you want to do and when. Some people put their fig under the tree and wait for Christmas day.

As far as the white elephant idea, well shoot me a pm with details so I can see how you would run it and we can then discuss it with the admins for next year.

Well, looks like I'm the first to show off mt gift. I would have waited until X-mas, but I celebrate Hanukkah and tonight is the second night.

Username: Thank you so much for this present - It's better then anything that I expected. Now I feel guilty that I haven't sent you more, But I'll just hope that your Karma will come around next year. Any who, here is what the Super awesome, generous Username sent me:

Very nice friskywhiskers and username. I forgot, you can also place feedback for your trade in the feedback thread if you would like.

I was very naughty and didn't send out my figure until this morning (end of term grading has been crushing me). To make up for it, I'm posting this teaser to whet Troy's anticipation.

Brutal foes when world was yet young,
when mountains grew and sun first beamed.
Long has steel flashed and hammers swung,
as both sides wailed and screamed.

For years he crushed his rival’s bones,
scales no defense for weighty mace.
Green ichor splashed o’er chill gray stones,
death flowed at frightful pace.

A final foe before him now,
long lost brethren to be avenged.
With razor teeth and slimy brow,
it seeks its cold revenge.

And now our hero’s bones be frail,
his hammer long since set aside.
One more triumph to end his tale?
‘Tis you who must decide.
