Investment buying: Collectable minifigs?

Okay, so was just wondering if it was a smart idea to stock up on the series 5 minifigures at my local walmart for $1.50 each and which should I stockpile? Thanks Is it worth it? Going to trade some for series 6 or series 1-4 and sell the rest over time. I have been concentrating mostly on Gladiators and dwarves, but that is because I am predisposed toward castle lol

I think any figs that are "army builders" will be worth stocking up on. Actually, if you'd like to sell me some, I'd be interested in some dwarves! Shoot me a PM if you do.
