This is a double post, but I think its findings merit a bump.

I got an email from KMART stating that all clearance toys were an additional 50% off. This includes their LEGO that has been clearanced.

Typically, KMART will mark something off by two or three dollars and then put it on clearance. Then, you wait for the big sale like this one.

Example: Last time this happened, Escape from Mirkwood Spiders Hobbit set was marked on clearance for $27.99, roughly 2 dollars off its retail price. This sale dropped it down to $13.99. I have found some amazing deals on KMART clearance from themes such as; Kingdoms, Castle, LOTR, Hobbit, and even personal favorite themes like Alien Conquest, Harry Potter, and Dino.

I am going out this afternoon and will be sure to report my findings. If you have any local KMART's I would highly advise you check them!

Deal alert! One of the better deals I have seen in a while.

Toys R Us still has the Hobbit Barrel Escape for $27.99. It is longer available for shipping, but can be found in store (mine had lots in store). Toys R Us also has buy $60.00 worth of LEGO, get $15.00 off. It applies to this set.

The two sets together equaled $56.00. I threw in a Hobbit Laketown Guard polybag (which is currently instock) to put me at $61.00. The total then dropped to $46.00 for two Barrel Escapes and one polybag.

It takes the $15.00 of one set and looks like this when you checkout.

Hobbit Barrel Escape - $27.99
Hobbit Barrel Escape - $12.99
Laketown Guard - $4.99

I'm not a mathematician, but getting a TRU exclusive set at around 66% off MSRP is a steal. $12.99 for that set is outrageously cheap. If you do in-store pickup you don't have to be for shipping either. Hope someone else can get in on this deal!

Wow, that is epic. Great find, Sschmidt!

Too bad I'm watching the Packers and can't get to a TRU today!

The $15 off $60 at TRU also works on the new LEGO movie sets, which are at the MSRP $29.99. So you could get two for $45.00, or $22.50 each for a brand new set.

When I was there today it worked on the minifigs as well, so I bought $60.00 worth of Series 12 minifigs for $45.00.

It's that time of year again! Walmart clearance is starting to surface.

I went to two Walmarts.

Walmart A had nothing.

Walmart B had 7-8 Hobbit Unexpected Gatherings for 49.00
Hobbit Warg Attack for 40.00
LOTR Moria for 52.00
LOTR Weathertop for 40.00

Other random Chima, Ninjago, Star Wars sets.

I picked up another Unexpected Gathering.

There are three more Walmarts my brother and I will be scoping out. Let us know what you find!

While not strictly castle sets, S@H has some Chima sets clearing out at 50% or so off original price.

Thanks sschmidt for that last one. I pounced! Good set...great parts.

But I have another purpose in this post right now. This thread isn't for commentary. It is for posting deals. Just like every thread in the buy and sell forum...it isn't for discussion. Please keep that in mind. Thank you!

Hey guys check out your local K marts.

Just got home with Unexpected Gathering. Was on clearance for $52, and some clearance was marked down an additional percentage. So in the end the set was actually $36.xx plus tax. The box was open but looked all there. Couldent pass it up for the price though.

Also had several other sets on clearance but the toy issle was desimated.

I know many aren't too fond of the 2013 Castle line however those sets (and many other themes) are on clearance sale at my local WalMart. $20 sets are being marked down to 13-15 with others being priced down as well. They had the Gold Getaway at $15 from $20 which I thought was a decent deal as I wouldn't have bought that set at regular price. Funny, they have a ton of Forest Ambush marked up at $15 then brought it back to down to regular retail price of $11 for "clearance" which is ridiculous as they would have sold if priced properly.
