AK_Brickster graciously hosted an online parts draft a few months ago found here.
If you are unsure of what a LEGO draft is you can find information regarding it here.

The admins here at CC have graciously approved another draft. While the draft sign-up is posted on CC, CC in no way endorses the draft outside of letting us use their forums to sign up.

This thread is for sign up purposes only! After we have a full list of 8 participants (myself included), the admins will lock this thread and all drafting will take place on FLICKR.

The rules of this draft will be the exact same as AK's draft. Please refer to his thread regarding rules.

We are drafting the Council of Elrond set. It is currently around $24 (before tax) with free shipping at http://www.yoyo.com with the following two codes
BRTN4441 (a referral code that gives you 20% off your first order)
GOCRAZY gives you free 2 day shipping for three months on all new accounts.

You must create a new account for the codes to work.
Participants will ship the LEGO set to me (please see the feedback thread for my positive feedback, or also the jambalaya thread that I started if you are unsure about blindly mailing LEGO to someone you don't know ) and I will begin dividing the sets.

Please reply to this thread if you would like to join. Keep in mind, you need to order your set from yoyo.com by Labor day to receive the 20% off. The sooner you can do this the better! The sooner we receive all packages, the sooner I will start sorting and setting up the draft.

In the past everyone sent their money via paypal to AK. Since yoyo takes paypal, you can order the set directly from yoyo and have it shipped to my house where I will begin dividing the sets. This way, if you pay with a credit card on paypal (like me) you won't get docked with a fee for transferring money to another account.

I'm very interested! But man... I think I'd love me some leaves so I'll vote for Council of Elrond!

I won't be participating, but I highly reccommend doing this. It was a ton of fun!

Also, I'll suggest that participants chip in a few bucks each to cover the cost of Sshmidt's set as a "thank-you" for hosting. There is a LOT of work involved in hosting a draft (sorting, bagging, labeling, photographing, updating the available parts inventory every few picks, packing, shipping, keeping track of trades, etc), and I think that we should adopt a general policy that whoever hosts the draft gets the cost of their set covered.

Houston we have a problem. Apparently the website in question has decided that 40% off is just too good of a deal so they are no longer allowing the codes to stack. One code negates the other.

This really throws a wrench in things as the deal is no where near as sweet as before
Let me do some research and offer an alternative to drafters by this evening.

You're kidding... I hadn't gotten to order my big set yet. I'll be crying over in the corner when you figure out what to do.

If we were to do Elrond, we could still get a discount to around 24 bucks. Certainly not bad for the newness of the set, but not 18 bucks

Like I previously mentioned, let me shop around and see what I can find for us.

I'm fine with a $25 Council set, I know it's not a huge percentage off... but still slimmed down enough. You might have to PM your address soon though.

Don't worry about prepaying for shipping because each package may be different in price based on what one drafts.
