Lil_Curt - The simple truth is that you will not be able to please everyone with any plan. I think that the organizational details should be up to the very kind soul that is organizing. If someone misses out, has a problem with the rules, etc. - Then they should organize the next one to their liking. Thank you for hosting - and happy drafting. :D

Hey Lil Curt I would rather be in the draft than an alternate if at all possible. :eyebrows:

I suggest a sign-up period of at least a few days and then do a lottery from those who would like to participate. It seems more fair that way than just closing it after the first 8 people have signed up, since we operate over so many different time zones, and people have different abilities to log in to the site during the day if they are working, busy, etc. Some of our most active members probably don't even check the forum on a daily basis, particularly the B/S/T subforum.

Considering that this was only opened yesterday and you already have 11+ people interested, if you left it open for say, 3 days and then did a lottery among all qualifying applicants, that seems like an extremely fair option.

That said, it's your draft, so you can certainly do it however you like. :)

^ The above opinion doesn't need to necessarily apply to this draft. Just my thoughts on sign-up processes in general.

Very Valid Point Jordan. I am always Inclined to make more work for my self :) as a lot of people will attest.

I will not at this time run a lottery.

However Because I originally had a long sign up period and because you make a valid point of the most active members being more involved on Saturday and Sunday. I am going to allow the sign up process to continue through 6 pm Mtn Std Time, this Sunday. I will make the decision at that time to either extend out the number of entrants or run a second draft. Yes this makes more work for me, but this is Lego. And I enjoy the fun!

To those already signed up do not worry your IN the draft already, Unless you back out.

I am of the opinion however that Rules on how a draft is run need to be formed. I think that since there has been an interest in doing these quarterly, that we as a group and community should put in place a set of standards to follow. With basic policy and procedures with a fairly set grouping of rules. That way Anyone who wants to run a draft may do so in the future and have a model to follow :D . just my thinking on the mater.

AK, Schmidt, Having previously run drafts please speak with me so we can form some set guidelines for future installments of the CC drafts.

Yeah but I don't have prime and free shipping only over $35 ;). So if someone is going to be shipping the set from either amazon or Walmart let me know and I'll cover one set or I can do the arrangements if someone wants to go in on it ;). Trying to spend as little as possible as I kinda spent a bit much on the dragon knights with barding and didn't tell the family accountant yet ;)
