CostCo Deals

Post by Athos »

Hey all,

Was at CostCo (in Vacaville CA) today. They had three pretty good Lego deals.

#1: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/3585 for $19 and some change

#2: http://guide.lugnet.com/set/7047 again for $19 and some change.

#3: Three of the big KK2 knights (Lt. Blue, Red, and Black I think) for $10 and some change I think. Not sure about this one, I didn't pay too much attention to it.

Might want to check it out,
Steve

hmm interesting. I doubt anybody will buy those set, except maybe the knights. Still those are good deals.

I thought the Coast Watch HQ was a really good deal. Pretty good price per piece, less that $0.10 per brick. I was even thinking about getting a second one. Has a pretty interesting base plate. I'm thinking either lighthouse or coastal fortress. And it had a good selection of windows and doors which was nice. Took me about an hour to put together, but I was watching TV while I did it. Has some interesting playable features too (if you are into that type of thing). I highly recommend it for $20.

I was wondering... what is the standard price per brick nowadays? $0.10 seems rather expensive
I've always figured $0.10 was a pretty good price per piece in a minifig/system set. The creator and bucket style sets have a better price per piece, but you don't get any of the minifig or special pieces.

I didnt figure price per piece and I never saw the knights set. I have bought five of the CoastWatchHQ though and plan to watch to see if the price goes down as the holiday approaches ( you know of what I speak). One year me and my dad got some sweet deals on legos at Costco. I think I paid $35 dollars for my Republic gunship (all I could afford). I was thinking along the same lines as you Athos. The windows are great for some of my ideas in the none castle world. And I have many ideas for the baseplate once I can start building big again.
