Dragon Master sets from the 90's
Dragon Master sets from the 90's
I've been searching all over the web for the Dark Dragon's Den set that was a part of the Dragon Masters series back in the 90's. I was only a kid back then and unable to buy any of the sets but I spents many hours staring at the photos of them and day dreaming about building and playing with them. I also like Misto's Hut set (don't remember what it was actually called, but it was the wizard's house) and would like to know if anyone here could tell me where I can find them in mint or just good condition. Please help if you can.

Welcome!
If you are really picky about getting a MISB set, www.Bricklink.com is the surest way to go. Be warned though - prices can be a bit steep there.
A better shot migh be Ebay. If you watch carefully you can get a good deal there.
Another overlooked site would be www.auctionbrick.com Sometimes, just sometimes, you can get something there. However it is a small site with only a few autions going on at any one time.
Good luck finding your set!

You folks are spiffy cool!
Thanks to both of you. I'll look into it and let you know. I know that I'm too old to be playing with toys but sometimes you just gotta indulge your inner child. I'm now a fantasy writer and lego castle sets were a big inspiration for some of the characters and stories I've put into my books.

Too old? Never too old to play with LEGO. And your a fantasy writer? Cool, what's your name? I want to read your books. (If they are published that is). Welcome to C-C.com.Sir Bob wrote:I know that I'm too old to be playing with toys but sometimes you just gotta indulge your inner child.

Fantasy books
My name is Robert A. Easton and I just signed my first book deal so watch for my first novel to be released in two years. Yes, it takes a while for things to get published. In the mean time, I recomend you read the works of Terry Brooks if you have not all ready. He has been a great help to me in my writing and is the best fantasy writer around.

I've got two words (and two letters) for that: George R R MartinSir Bob wrote:...Terry Brooks... He has been a great help to me in my writing and is the best fantasy writer around.
Anyway, on topic, I'd watch eBay. If you are patient, you can find good deals. For example, I've managed to pick up five sealed copies of 6048 (The Majisto Hut) for less than $31 each in the past month.
BrickLink will usually have higher prices, but you don't have to fight with anybody to get what you want. Sometimes you can find really good deals there too.

Re: Fantasy books
I haven't read either author, but I can recommend Margret Weis and Tracy Hickman's joint books. I really like their Sovereign Stone Trilogy, and the Starshield sci-fi stuff (if you like that kind of stuff) is cool too. Doug Niles had a really interesting trilogy about a Tlaxcala taken into a fantasy world at his death as well.rogue27 wrote:I've got two words (and two letters) for that: George R R MartinSir Bob wrote:...Terry Brooks... Yeah, offtopic, but fun.
