Hate To Do This, But...
Up for grabs is my (very)high defensive walls and gatehouse.
I can't even begin to count the number of light gray 1x2 bricks,
but will estimate 2500+ per wall section(hollow).
The gatehouse probably has 4-5x that amount itself,
with opening wall sections, floors, stairs, etc.
Entire spread sits on 12 baseplates, as seen in this pic -

I'm not trying to get rich from this stuff, but please make
a reasonable offer.

So the offer is for the inner keep in the photo? How many bricks high to the top of the crenellationson on the walls? and finally, are the bricks primarily 1x2s and were they in new condition before assembly?
Thanks,

Ja_izzle,
I don't have to sell it...I just don't want it anymore.
My collecting/building priorities have changed.
Aidan,
If you consider "inner keep" to be the gatehouse and
the surrounding(connected)walls, then yes.
The walls are 24 bricks high, not including the tiled tops.
Primarily 1x2s ? - yes. Obviously there are 1x1s and various
other 1xwhatever, as well as typical other castle parts.
I'd say about 75% are/were new bricks prior to building.
Dragon Master,
I'll keep your idea in mind.
It's been suggested to put this stuff on Ebay, which I
was originally going to do. But before I take that path, I
wanted to give CC members first dibs. If there is no
interest by this coming Saturday, Ebay it is.

I have the interest, ALOT of interest, but I don't have anything in the realm of non-laughable price.
Now if you were wanting to make a donation to the cause of me building my castle in the form of laughable prices on your bricks, I can help you there
But in all seriousness, I think you'll have the best luck on eBay or breaking it up and selling the chunks.

You could put it on ebay with a reserve price to ensure you get a good price and see what happens. If that doesn't work, then you could break it up and sell it in pieces.
Or you could just ship it to:
Stephen Bishop, PO Box.... ah never mind.

Here's the deal - I really don't want to get rid of this stuff.
It's just that I'm seriously running low on physical space to
put anything. I have a dedicated "toy room" in my house,
and my wife starts hinting about throwing things out when
I'm not there...at least when the toy room starts creeping
out into other areas of the house. I'm sure others know
what I'm referring to.
Anyway, I'm fighting the idea of selling it, but if someone
were to make a decent offer...I might just take it.
I'll keep you guys updated about it.

I completely understand. Thank goodness, my parents don't tell me to remove the tower and walls from the living room. It has become somewhat of a fixture there. Visitors & guests like looking and marvelling at it.Blasterman wrote:Here's the deal - I really don't want to get rid of this stuff.

There's absolutely no space for them in my room. They're that big. But even if I was being told to remove that from the living room, I wouldn't try to sell off 5,000 or so black and lt. gray bricks.
Just remember that once you sell that castle.... there goes thousands of lt gray bricks.

Jeff,
You don't want to sell those bricks off, the bricks you used to build it will always be useful, take the catle apart and re-sort the parts back into bins. That should solve your room issues without losing you a ton of brick. A sale like that would hurt you in the end, even if you did get a fair price.
