If ASB's gave you $1000...

Post by Azaghal »

...with the stipulation that it only be used for LEGO and related items, what would you buy? Some things I'd get:

- MISB King's Mountain Fortress and Dragon Fortress.
- BL Prof. Quirrel, Forestwoman, and Darth Maul (2x) figures.
- 15-20 Wolfpack torsos and shields.
- non MISB Ninja sets.
- Pirate's ship hull and red-striped sail rigging.
- FrySlayer merchandise.

Would that add up to over $1000? If not and I think of anything else I'll add it.

Hello!

I'd buy new shoes and clothes anyway. Over the last couple of years I've bought so much LEGO with money that was supposed to be spent on shoes and clothes....

And I too would like to know what "ASB" means.

There something JoJo doesn't know about Lego!? Life as we know it has come to an end!

OT: I'd have all the Royal Knights and Dragon Masters sets MISB. 'Nuff said.

I think Azaghal is taking in the moment of knowing something JoJo doesn't.

On Topic: Baseplates, Old grey 1x2's, Green bricks and old grey/black plates. After that I'd see how much money I still have and would spend it accordingly.

Methinks ASB has nothing to do with LEGO. I've certainly never heard of it before in anything related to LEGO.

Searching Acronym Finder, I got these results for ASB:

ASB Asbestos
ASB Aarhus School of Business (Aarhus, Denmark)
ASB Academic Student Body (student government)
ASB Accounting Standards Board (UK)
ASB Actuarial Standards Board
ASB Advanced Small Business
ASB Advanced Strategic Bomb
ASB Advanced System Buffering (Intel)
ASB Advanced System Bus (AMBA architecture)
ASB Advanced Systems Buying
ASB Advisory Service Bulletin (aviation)
ASB Aeration Stabilization Basin
ASB Aerobic Stabilization Basin
ASB Air Staff Board
ASB Airbase Systems Branch
ASB Aircraft Support Branch (NASA)
ASB Alarm Status Block
ASB Alien Space Bats (science fiction)
ASB Ambient Standards Branch
ASB American Saddle Bred
ASB American Savings Bank
ASB American Sky Broadcasting (News Corp. and MCI)
ASB American Society for Biotechnology
ASB American Society of Baking
ASB American Society of Biomechanics
ASB American State Bank
ASB Ameritech Small Business Services
ASB Amrita School of Business (India)
ASB Anesthesia Stand By
ASB Antenna Support Building
ASB Anti-Social Behaviour
ASB Apostilb (seldom used measure of luminance)
ASB Application Specific Bits
ASB Application Support Branch (USMC)
ASB Appraisal Standards Board
ASB Arbeiter Samariter Bund (German medical help organisation)
ASB Area Support Battalion
ASB Army Science Board
ASB Army Supply Base
ASB Associated Services for the Blind
Associated Student Body
ASB Asymptomatic Bacteriuria
ASB Asynchronous Balanced Mode
ASB Auckland Savings Bank (New Zealand)
ASB Auditing Standards Board
ASB Australian Society for Biomaterials
ASB Automatic Stand-By
ASB Aviation Support Battalion
ASB Aviation Support Branch (NOAA)
ASB Avrupa Serbest Bölgesý
ASB naval advanced support base (US DoD)

Now, the only two I can see applicable here are the American Savings Bank and American State Bank. Azaghal, could you please shed light on this?

On topic, I would buy myself:

1 black sword
1 black samurai armor
20 dark gray euro armor suits.
10 bardings.
As many 1x1 round plates in rare colors (chrome gold, sand green, brown, etc) I could get my hands on.
At least 30 Islander figures to flesh out my barbarian army, and the appropiate armor, weapons and helmets to go with them. Plus more Norman Osbournes, if needed.
3x copies of each of the Vikings sets, probably more of the longboat.
Lots of tiles in many colors.
Lots of pieces in dark red, dark blue, dark green, sand green, sand blue, sand red, dark tan, burnt orange, brown, and red-brown.
Over 100 Harry Potter figures to sticker.
If this is allowed, a new printer that would allow me to print up stickers.
More pitchforks.
More castle minifigs in general, especially soldiers and peasants.
More baseplastes, like the huge gray one.
More foliage.

That's all I can think of now, but if I had cash left over I'm sure I could add to the list.
