Vladek's Dark Castle

Post by thebusnamedgak »

Well here is a nice big pic of Vladek's new castle. I've seen it advertised as 69.99 and 99.99, does anyone know which it is?

Massive Image changed to link by admin. Do not post images larger than 400x300 pixels in the forums. Thanks!

Either way, this set is a HUGE improvement on what we've been seeing out of Lego Castle. Maybe we're seeing a return.... well its not that great!

I saw it in TRU here in Calgary for $139.99 CDN.
Once again pricing compared to exchange rate is well off the mark.
The MSRP for this set in USD is $99.99 and the exchange rate puts the price at about $122.00 CDN.
It used to be a better deal to buy from S@H than in store, but now that the dollar has been changed,
there are few deals to be had. I'm glad I can get it for wholesale.

After a long absence, I have returned. I can't wait to start building again.

...which is why if I want a S@H exclusive set, I've resorted to driving down to Bellevue, WA to pick it up there (and hope that the border guards don't charge me duties). :) Otherwise, I usually wait for a sale.

So I guess its $100 USD...

The only thing is that we haven't seen a pic from behind the castle. From the front it actually looks kind of flat, if it is, that would suck.

I paid the full $100, and don't regret a single cent of it! It's a great set. I also just posted my Sandcrawler review, which is a great parts pack for brown buildings. You can find it here, if you're interested.

Yeah, the sandcrawler is awesome for brown parts. But its soooo massive. When is that Vladek fortress gonna come out to regular stores, along with all of the other knight's kingdom products?

And it's the same price in Edmonton's TRU.
