I'll be looking forward to seeing your new stuff Emily. I know I havn't bought anything from you yet, but I sure do love to see your work.

I actually made a couple molds about a week ago that are having nice success, one being for the Dumbledore hair. (It's a pretty expensive piece and since it is only made in a few colors I am really happy it works for me. :) )

Trooper-
I have been dabbling in mold making myself, and the costs are pretty high. It cost me around $30 for silicone, $28 for the resin, $25 for a set of dyes, and about $10 for mold release. Not to mention the costs of some other items like mixing cups and plastic gloves.
-But that's just what I got it for, there are different companies to choose from, with different prices, but all in all it's not too cheap.

The Cody helmet will probably be $5, most of the full-face helmets are $5.

Mold prices can vary, depends on how well you pour it, if it has to be remade, how big it is, etc. But my mold making stuff cost me $35 this last time. There is a topic in the custom MOCs section all about molding.

I heard that dish soap works for mold release and I already have latex gloves. So I need silicone and resin. What color does resin come in anyway. All I need is white resin. :D

I also have plastic cups.

This is now innappropriate talk for this topic. Please feel free to look at some of the other topics about molding and casting in the customs section, or, on MCN.

Look for them on the forums when I post them! Some should be a nice surprise. I'm hoping to have time to take pics this weekend and get them posted. Again, look for them on FBTB and MCN, maybe here if they have castle uses.
