I am kind of new here, and I am having trouble getting a picture that is big enough to see, fairly good quality, and also less than 10KB. Does anyone have any good tips in resizing pictures? I would be greatful for a response.

I know there are many different ways, but the first thing I do is take a high-res picture of whatever I am using. Then I crop and shrink until it fits the criteria.

I have a couple of tips for you.

1. It is a lot more effective to shrink a larger image down to the size you need, rather than trying to increase a smaller image.

2. Use a good quality graphics program like PhotoShop (some share-ware programs are equally as good) to resize your image, as they seem to keep the detail more accurate.

3. Do not be afraid to CROP your image as well as resizing it. Cropping will help you get rid of the useless and un-important areas of the image.

I used what G2 said except I had to make a few changes it works pretty well but I don't have any good programs so I was lucky.
