[GFX] LEGO - Logo HD

Post by nsun »

Hi there,
I (re)draw the LEGO-logo for a project of custom-boxes.
Image

Here a link to the file HD :
https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B4mODu ... MzMDdlOGYx

Details :
It's a PDF
not pixel-picture, designed by vectors (you can use it on any sizes)
Colors are made for print usage : CMYK
Red = M:100%, Y:100%
Yellow = Y:100%
Just for outline of "LEGO" : Black = C:30%, M:30%, Y:30%, K:100% (black reinforced)
Forgive me if sometimes I write in English as a robot...

Well, for now it is a work in progress. I have to design other stuff, I should share some.
One of it is castel's background from years : 1984-1992. Like this :

I still have to work to get a more accurate result. For this stuff, I'll try to build an online application (using flash), to produce and export the image as needed.
For now, I can't promise that it will succeed, because the design of the application remains a challenge for me. (If there is a flash-developer that reads, I'm not against a little help :wink: )

About boxes, my project is to design very small. (between 3 and 8 cm side)
On this scale, my choice is for a technique similar to origami, and I don't think it would suit boxes of higher dimensions.

inspired by "Masu" boxes : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masu_%28Japanese%29
With two A4 paper (80g or 90g), you get a square box and its lid, 7 cm side and 3.5 cm high. Moreover, I advise you to try, because it is easy and a good way to store a few bricks.

So I won't publish all elements of this project (because it's extra work), but probably I will publish pictures of the final result later. At this point, if you are resolved to work on this scale, tell me, and I'll see in what way I would share this stuff.

So, just to clarify, the project you are working on is to create miniature copies of Lego boxes from past sets? I didn't understand your project at first, but now I think that's very clever and original. Hopefully you will share some photographs of your final product.

I found this post when creating my images. The castle one is based on the 1980s LEGOLAND castle series.

I made progress on this project (nsun is my old account), and I managed to program this tool online: http://lego.patatoide.com/CastleBG/

It follows the characteristics (colors, margins...)
You can change the position of the Sun by drag and drop.
You can change the height of the horizon, and vary the profile of the mountains in the distance.

Example :

--> See in 1080p : http://lego.patatoide.com/dl/castle-bg_16-9_1080.png
