Not nearly Rayhawk in quality, but I thought I'd post it anyway.
The fig portrayed uses some custom elements- namely the gorget (chest armor), sleeves, and sword, all peices I've made. On his hip is a plastic cape with a rubber band sash, as seen on Jojo's pirates. I used two of my Landsknecht figs as reference; which will be posted seperately later.

Wow, that's pretty good. Any plans on adding color?

Very good E! Your technique is better with each drawing we see, and it is getting to be more Rayhawk like. Can you tell us something about how you draw? All digital or do you draw then scan in and trace over? Also, do you have the fig in front of you for a model?

Anti-aliasing on Paint (the only program I have) is a pain, so probably no. I might color the original and re-scan it, if I find decent paints or markers.kelderic wrote:Are you planning on adding color?
I first sketched this out in pencil, then adding thick Sharpie lines. After that, I finished the rest with a thin-line Sharpie, and erased the pencil. I made a few mistakes, and painted over those in Paint, as white-out isn't the same color as the paper I draw on. I missed a few, though, see if you can spot them.Recluce wrote:Can you tell us something about how you draw? All digital or do you draw then scan in and trace over? Yes, I had both figs in front of me. I still didn't quite get the proportions right, but the only apparent mistake is the legs. The knife also came out small.
Thanks for the comments everyone!

Good job. I really like the plume and hat. Great job; doesn't even look like a "sketchy" sketch.
