Yeah, yeah, I know, another blog. Why?

That's great advice. And, I must admit, you made me think of a blog that I could do 'unique' from everyone else.

Well, here it is, Steam-Bricks!

Hehe, man, you're gonna be busy...

And here I was expecting steam trains...

Yehey, Steampunk! I'll have to add this to the five other blogs I visit every time I log off of CC*.

*In case anyone's wondering: Zemi, Vignettebricks, Microbricks, Moyblik, TBB.

This is a great idea for a blog. I have this secret obsession with Steampunk, I just never build anything.

An excellent idea indeed. Appropriately linked. Good luck!

Not so secret now, is it?

Thanks! I have liked steampunk, although I barely even dabbled in it. Thanks for the link!

Yeah, busy, but happy. Silly about the steam trains though...

Thanks! I'll update it whenever I find a good steampunk MOC!

BTW, does anyone know if there are any other names for steampunk? I would much appreciate to know if there are.

Well, it's a sub group of cyberpunk. Some folks refer to it as a sort of "Neo-Victorianism," but that's much less well-known. It's also a form of Retro-futurism, and is a type of Uchronia (alternate history, some-what barely like Tolkien's middle-earth). It's also a type, or sub-category of anime.

Wikipedia seems fairly accurate as a source for this one, but off-hand that's about all I can tell you.

I'm still looking for someone to take it into the more obscure world of post Civil War western America in the style of Wild Wild West (the tv series, I never saw the movie). They weren't heavily into it, but they did seem to develop nearly Bond quality weapons, gadgets, vehicles and plots that were clearly beyond the available technology, so I think that would qualify well and be a fascinating addition for someone with adequate Wild West themed parts.

Otherwise I'm remembering a show I only saw in repeats years after it was aired completely wrong in my mind. Either way, it sounds like a good idea, whether it was theirs or mine ;)
