Hey, I finally found my small hoard of rare parts (as far as I know these don't come in any sets) They are probably some of those special color parts, but they work very well for me.

Here's the pic.
Here's the list:
2 White visors
3 dark red ovoid shields
1 red shield

So, yea! I do have some that aren't just the "normal" rare parts.

Cool! So...where did you get them, if you don't mind saying?

I found the white visors and regular red shield on bricklink (kinda cheeting). I think the dark red shileds were an ebay find, but I checked and there were some on BL. I might pick some more up, they look really good with figs! I think I'll make a royal guard for my custom faction (fluer de lies/griffindor) with the dark red ones at least. Maybe the reg. red will be a loner mercenary...

BTW, an investment in the white visors is a great idea. I've used them for so many things already!!!

Well, for one, as the little head piece for a maid (like the character posted a while back). I made some sweet spacers with them, I'm working on a way to have it stay on a head like a crown, and more... (don't want to give too much away) There are tons of uses I'm sure I haven't even begun to think of for visors. I really like the way it looks on the maid thoguh, that was my main reason for finding them.

I've no similar explanation for the red shield or the white visors, but the dark red shields, theoretically, could just be brassoed Vladek shields from KK2 II.

Now I can show you my rare items:

Image

I only have selected the bricks that don't belong to any set. And parts which where not shown before, if I watched out correctly.

I was the whole weekend in the Lego-cellar for sorting, and I now have finaly found my red lionhead-brick. I was searching for it since this thread was started... It was a hard work.

regards,
jens

Hey Remyth, You are one lucky 13 year old :D
 Where did you get them? I check the ocational place, but the classics are soo expensive... I never have the heart to buy them... :(

Probably my only rarity is a mess up on some robot legs. The gold paint is all over the legs. I don't have any castle rarities though. Just the usual. I really want some pitch forks and peasent torsos :( ...
