Mini Castle Contest II
Well folks, it's that time of year again. The time after Brickfest and before the CCC4. Last year, during this time, I had a contest. It was quite successful, and I decided to do it again. So.....
The Mini Castle Contest II
Create a smaller than minifig scale castle building. For examples, check out this or this.
Rules:
1. The creation must be castle based. By this I mean pretty much anything that was around in medival times.
2. The creation can be Ninja based.
3. The creation's base size cannot exceed 32x32 studs.
4. There is no piece or height restriction.
5. You may enter as many entries as you want, but try to go for quality as opposed to quantity.
Deadline:
The deadline for entries is midnight (CC server time), October 31st. This contest ends just as the CCC4 starts.
Prizes:
This year the winner gets to choose between recieving 7015 Viking Warrior challenges the Fenris Wolf, or getting 8821 Rogue Knight Battleship at half the cost. I will pay for half.
Judging:
The Ork and I will be the judges. Sir Nelson, last year's winner, will be the tie breaker, should that situation arise.
Pictures:
You may submit as many pictures for your entry as you want. But please, keep them under 800x600 pixels. And if you post a picture in this thread, please keep them under 400x300.
*You may submit entries by replying to this thread.
If you have questions, please ask and I will try to answer ASAP.
If you wish to view last year's thread:Mini Castle Contest I
Best of luck to everybody this year.
Dan
EDIT: Updated to show prize.

Hmm, I'll try to build something. When I get an idea, I can build a MOC pretty fast, but the problem is that it takes me forever to get ideas, and then setting up a background (I hope to have a permanent one soon), photographing, finding the time to put them on the computer, resizing, color adjustments, renaming, and uploading them to Brickshelf takes a while.... But I'll try to get something done.

Oh, yes!! I'm going to go get started right away. But I'm not sure what to do though... doesn't matter! I'll build something anyway. Anyhoo, I'm going to go get something that makes my brain work gud and try to build sumthing.
Well, I've built something and got my brain functioning, but I just realized, is there a proper scale we're supposed to build them at? Just wondering,

Fantastic. I might actually enter this year (especially given that my first contest entry ever ended up being over on Eurobricks, of all places).

More progress on my first entry, I believe the pics are 800x800 res/pixels, is that all right?
Again, ruined by grainy pics. I hope we get a better camera soon:
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/colan ... wipper.jpg
You will see I added in the mountain, which isn't finished, a mill with grain (It'll have to be yellow for either now or ever), a shipyard and made the bailey larger. The square 1x1 brown tile is a sad attempt at a well, the rest are paths, which I intend to improve.
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/colan ... ipper1.jpg
A horrible close-up on the fort. But I hope what you can make out looks good
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/colan ... ipper2.jpg
The mill with it's wheat field, the wheat is thicker near the water, where the ground is more moist.
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/colan ... ipper3.jpg
The port, proving my skill on not being able to make mini longboats, but I think they work. Along with the shiphouse building.
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/colan ... ipper4.jpg
A final fuzzy shot of the mountain with the fort and port, notice the minifig leg for a cave, ingenious is it not?
That about concludes my deeplink WIP, again, comments and advice are welcome, the gallery when public:

Nice start there Nazgul, I wish I had that many flower stems. Can't wait to see yours finished!

Mike, can I ask that you not post WIP pics? It's great to see you so enthusiastic about this, but those posts clutter up the thread. Plus, when it comes time for judging, it will make things easier if I don't have to sort through WIP and completed entrys. If you still want to show WIP pics, why not start another thread. Thank you.
