Tim Hortons

Post by Sir Terrance »

Hey everyone,

Here is a new Tim Hortons I built. I decided to try flickr for the first time, so thats why the pics are there instead of Brickshelf, but I will upload a gallery for Brickshelf too. It was built for NALUG's display at the Great Edmonton Train Show 2006. Enjoy and Please let me know what you think!

Very nice. The color scheme is great! Nothaveing seen one in real life I don't know if it's true to the actual palce, but it looks great. That cornere must ahve been tough to figure out! And some fancy snot work indeed! Overall the whole esablishment has a great feel to it. Too bad the interior can't be made with those posts there...

Keep up the great work!

Nice. Very well done.

Steve, who knows he's seen more than one Tim Horton's MOC before...

Very nice microscale building. I've never seen (or heard of) one in real life, but it definitely looks realistic.

Learning French.

Say it "ESS-MICK-GIN-ISS", with a hard "G", as in "get".

WOW!

WOW!

Tim Hortons!

I am absolutely speechless! This is an amazing MOC, Chris! I'm not a coffee drinker myself, certainly not a conaseur(sp?), but you can bet your blue bazooka that Canada wouldn't be Canada without Timmy's. I love the colours, the SNOT, and I see you even added a Drivethru. Delightful!

I may have to say more later, but right now I am blown away.

Thank you! That helps alot, I see the resemblance now. No, actually more than that, pretty much how did you shrink a whole coffee joint and turn it into LEGO?

Some.......have.......never......heard of a.....Tim Hortons?

But I guess I could say I've never seen a starbucks. Or a target store...and so on.

Great mini! All so very accurate. I stop there every satuday for a large chocolate iced cap, every weekday morning for a delicious chocolate dip, and the occasional other times the rest of the week for large chocolate iced caps.

I very great place, and a very great mini, coming from a number one Timmy's supporter.
I ow it to wunztwice for directing me here.

Nopers! I'm from a very small town in America and FAR away from any city, so if that helps explain it. In fact we are about 2.5 hours away from the closest Starbucks. The closest thing we have is called the "Log Cabin Espresso." But, seeing this MOC definately makes me want to go and try a Tim Hortons!

This is micro/mini scale? Looks minifig scale to me...

In any case, great job! I've never heard of a Tim Horton's either, but I live just about as far away from Canada as you can get and still be in the U.S. I like the SNOT work and the sign and marquee, especially.

Dude...

That's... the PERFECT Tim's. The Perfect Tim's.

Well, the exterior is, anyway. Exactly the right note struck. It could the Tim Hortons back in Olds- except there's no Wendy's attached.

Is it based off of any particular Tim's here in Edmonton, or just the general Tim's look?

Wendy's attached.
Chris, you should add a Wendy's to it! That would be classic!

That is the best lego coffe shops I have ever seen. Well, not really, I like Medieval Starbucks better. But still, it is a great tim hortons. Oh, and FYI, Its not just canadian anymore, me and my family were driving down from a fishing trip in canada and we saw two in detroit. I think some company (either dunkin donut or baskin robin) bought it.
Time to go nighty night mister west.

Yay Nightey nigh- ugh. ZZZZZ....
