(Though alot of it is the explanation of what a merman is now that I read through it. )
I think that they would go well as human torsos, hence the reason I made up a yellow version. There really is nothing that makes it a merperson as far as I can see.

Yeah I'm gonna use this heaps now as shirtless people. It's good because we can use it and know that it's just a re-colour of an official torso, and know that no-one will go haywire because we "stole" thier muscle decals for our own use, which is, for some reason, looked down upon.

I won't go haywire so long as you don't start selling stuff with these designs. If anyone were to sell anything with them I would like them to get my permission.

Amanda, I've cloned the Mermaid/Man flipper piece, so now we can make different colored Merpeople! It looks great in a dark blue, BTW; we need to get together and make some.

Yeah, well I won't be doing any selling, I only make torso designs and use other people's torso designs for my own minifigs for myself (mainly for my story), not for selling, and i definately would'nt say it was my work.
So are you planning on doing any other types of the official strange torsos which could be used in the castle theme?

When I made up this decal I was thinking about how the tail would look in a different color.
Now I just have to make a decal for the tail.

I may, but I currently can't find any in my collection that would be suitable.
I don't really like looking at a picture of the torso and making it for some reason, so for this design I just looked at my merman torso.
