Well Christmas was good for me as I got both the Holiday Train (10173) and the Creator Buildings sets. What was really really surprising however was what my sister found for me in a second hand store for $7.99(about $6.75 in yankee $$): the Dark Forest Fortress (6079).

Released in 1996 this set is supposed to have 461 pieces. After putting it together I came up 11 pieces short (10 missing + 1 broken) means it is nearly 98% complete!

There were other instructions and matching pieces which may have made up for some of the main set's missing pieces but I did get all the mini-figs (+2 castle and one space fig). the bulk of the missing bits are of course weapons and shields but at least I did one classic sword, a halberd and a couple of spears and two classic bow and arrow w/quivers sets.

Tedward, that is an awesome Christmas find! Thank your sister, then ask her what the store was and see if they've got any more!

Welp, I didn't end up with much, but my bro (Remyth) came through for me and gave me two figs, a Crusader, and a Viking, and the small hand cart I made earlier with his LEGOs. That were a nice little surprise!

But I also received a substantial check from my Grandmother marked for school (college). So, I figure, that frees up a bit of my own money for some LEGO purchases...

Well, it's the thought that counts, right? Okay, maybe not.

Well, I came out with some cash and both the mosaic sets (can't get enough of those clear baseplates!).

Well it really is. And it will be my first bionicle set, so maybe I can see what all the fuss is about.

Give it a fair shake. Bionicles are actually pretty cool, and with their different pieces there are some really interesting construction techniques.

Usually I don't get Lego, I think last year was the first time I ever did and I got 2 sets. This year I got the Rogue Knight Battleship from my brother which I have been trying to make a Dragon out of it's peices.

Aside from that I got $400, a 25$ eBay gift certificate (Soon to be Lego), and of course, a ton of candy! :P

Well no Lego for me this year; but...

I've got a brand new pc along with a 30gb I-pod and also a new mobile phone(sony ericsson k790i). More than what I'd want :).

I'd say Tedward made out the best so far this year, I'm jealous.

I picked up a 4894 Mythical Creatures (mmm dark green :) ) and another Fenris Wolf (love them black breastplates), but the best by far was my gf surprised me with a Black Seas Barracuda! It's used and only came with 2 cannons, and only one is an original firing one, but that hardly reduces the awesomeness of it. Its one of the sets I dreamed about when I was a kid and its sweet to finally have a complete one, box and all.
