I did play around with the dark blue mixing with the pink and white (amongst a number of other combos) but the pastels worked best for me (visually and brick availability). I think dark blue would be better if it was the light blue, white and the dark blue... or no white at all... (although I did mess around with pink and dark red also)

Don't be embarrassed. I started a thread last month about how that set looked like a great source of parts. Great to see someone trying those raised baseplates for a castle MOC.the_lorax wrote: And I am embarrassed to say, the bases are… bionicle set 8893 … I bought the set because it has a lot of delicious dark blue… yummy… And two of these base plates… but shhh don’t tell anyone.
That's a great story. I love it when this sort of inspiration hits.the_lorax wrote: The skateboard ramp bridge was just luck, when I was thinking of the idea I got a lot of my white building elements out and had them scattered around me waiting for inspiration. I was just sitting amongst them and fidgeting. A ramp piece was lying upside down, looked like a part of a bridge, added the other side, technic pins, and there was a bridge.
Preach it, brother!footsteps wrote: It helps to prove the adage: "All other Lego themes are parts-packs for Castle!"
