Like Ben I own at least one of each. However, I don't feel like counting them right now. The only number I know for sure is [1] lion-barding from 6090. Everything else I have multiples of, though much less than TwoTonicKnight of course :-)

Bricklink is expensive - I do have some from sets, but generally they are from sales, private auctions (Todd Lehman's now defunct Auczilla), a few from Bricklink (set that auto-alert so you can snag the cheap ones as they get posted), and the bulk of them from eBay.

Haha! Finally found my two missing boxes of Castle figs (clue: the only moving box that was still sealed). So, an updated accurate count, though technically speaking 3 of the bardings are still in sealed sets that I will probably review the prices they fetch before I open them.

Edit in: Even this count was inaccurate - my son had a project for school where he made a board game called medieval chess, and naturally snagged a large number of minifigs for it. He finally brought it home after months and I found I had four more bardings I had forgotten about (and my lone black collared Forestman! So that's where he was....).

The updated standings:

Lots of these floating about, but the total numbers are somewhat high due to one person's massive collection of 19.

24 - Red, Dragon (blue printing)
Lots of people have this one, too, but no massive collections so it is one of the rarer designs.

38 - Red, Lion (yellow printing)
Fairly common, and most seem to have two or more.

17 - Red, Lion Face (mostly white printing)
Lots of people one 1, but very rarely does anyone have more than that.

47 - Gray, Black Stripes (mostly red printing)
53 - Gray, Lion Face (mostly blue printing)
Lots of these floating about because of their more recent production.

22 - Black, Asiatic Dragon (blue and gold printing)
Every other barding has at least 10 owners, this only has 5 and the total is probably warped by my total of 12, which is more than everyone else combined.
