My favorite faction is Black Falcons. But my first castle set was Forestmen. When I was a kid, I just enjoyed the Forestmen so much. They were like wildcards when my falcons and crusaders would duke it out, you never knew which side they would join. So I voted for the Forestmen, but Black Falcons will always be my kingdom of choice. :D

Anyway, my favourites are Crusaders simply because their sets are excellent, their castle the best ever and the minifigs really looks like the English knights of classic movies like Ivanhoe and Robin Hood (and that really was important for me as a kid at least)
I've always been a die-hard crusader fan, partly for the reason Maehdros listed above... the only other thing to add to that would be that the King's Castle was the first I got, when I was just a kid... and the magic of Castle LEGO (I'd never seen LEGO or Castle LEGO before that) came with that set.
Knight Templar
n. pl. Knights Templars or Knights Templar
1.A member of an order of knights founded about 1118 to protect pilgrims in the Holy Land during the Second Crusade.

Crusaders. For what ever reason between them and the Black Falcons, I always thought of the Crusaders as the "good guys"

Mine became totally English with the advent of the kettle helm :D

I really like the shield design of the Black Knights, but without a torso print to match....

LEGO could release anything similar from Classic through to Dark Forest and I would be happy. Of course their 2007 minifig faction is looking very compatible with the factions within the aforementioned parameters.

Hmm.. A very hard one. Black Falcons got a good overall score, Black Knights have cool armour, Dragon Masters have a cool theme, wolfpack are very cool, but are missing the castles, armour and stuff, as do the forestmen... hmmm..

I vote BF. Mainly because my (upcoming) army is based on their colourscheme.

I've changed my mind...

I've changed my mind. I voted for Black Knights mainly b/c of the the great minifigs. Now after looking at the sets again for the first time, I'm starting to understand why so many people picked Forestmen. Overall, they are better designed sets. So what they don't have the barding and euroarmor. This subtheme, I think is more versatile for play than many of the sets put out for the Black Knights subtheme.

Not really, but I was dividing the themes into their factions: KK1 had the Bulls and the good knights. KK2 has the Knights of Morcia, Shadow knights, and Rogue knights.

I voted Wolfpack. Go figure.

I always liked how they could pass as thieves, smugglers, or assassins. They're crafty, clever and use teamwork like wolves. They have a great color theme. Their few sets are all good.

Plus I just like wolves.

I dig the Black Falcons (thus my avatar). I also like the Vikings though a good bit too. Am I the only person here who thinks that Dark Forest owns Forestmen?

"Owns" maybe goes too far, but I really like Dark Forest. They had some great torsos. But, the plain old Forestmen are still very cool.

Took me a while to decide between Royal Knights and Black Knights. The Black Knights have the coolest riders, with the armor, dragon helms, and bardings (like in Black Knight's Castle). However I like pretty much all the Royal Knights figs more than the average Black Knights fig (except the King, but that's still a nice torso). Black Falcons is another favorite of mine but I think they're more generic than Black Knights or Royals. So yeah, I voted for Royals.

Between Dark Forest and Forestmen I would choose Dark Forest. More interesting variety of torsos, they're like Forestmen Plus. But they blend well anyway since they have the same shield design. And yes, I voted based on the figs only.

I chose black knights, considering that is my mane faction.

With you on that, Black Knights are pretty sweet too. As for the Forestmen/Dark Forest, I pretty much consider them the same theme, so it doesn't matter.
