6067 - good deal?

Post by TrishoHara »

Today I bought 6067 Guarded Inn by Ebay.
For 25,99 Euro.
Is this a good deal?

i personally would not pay more than 15GBP (about 23euro?) for this, excluding shipping, but that's because I have 1 of the re-releases :)
its, IMO, the best lego castle set ever released.
btw I believe ebay germany has the cheapest complete lego sets in general. I bought 1 x 6086 and 1 x 6098 and a couple of small sets from germany. and i just missed out 6085 on a very good price recently :(

We need more information. If the set was in very good condition with a nice box and instructions, I would say it is a good deal. Original sets in excellent condition are harder to find. Prices are gradually rising for older sets, even sets copied as Legends. Before the Legends, this set often sold for over $100 USD.

From the description it is complete with instructions, no box.

You may have paid a little much but that is ok. 6067 is a wonderful set. For anyone collecting castle I would suggest buying larger lots with 6 or more sets on eBay. This usually will give you an excellent price per set.

ebay.de has really good prices compared to most other countries. Germany has so many classic sets ;) Auctions like this are a great way to build up one's collection: http://cgi.ebay.de/Lego-Ritterburg-6074 ... QQihZ010QQ

I have noticed a general rise in price of classic-castle sets on eBay. Usually these prices go down after the holidays. Many new collectors are bidding and raising the prices. Perhaps prices will go down once the new castle line is out.

hey ben, just checked out the auction
looks good indeed :)
lots of classic sets, and in pretty decent condition too, as far as i can tell.

looks like trishohara actually bidded on it already :)
i am not so sure about ebay germany, but i know on ebay UK, bidders from Hongkong and Malaysia tend to drive up the final prices, despite having to pay more shipping.

That auction looks good. A lot of nice sets. However, I don't speak German, nooo! I can't tell how much the current bid is, or how long is left. Is there a translated page?

Current bid is 41 Euro and 50 Cent, and still goes 1 day, 22 hours.

But, in the description is mentioned, that they do not ship internationally.
