This is probably my favorite of all the Dark Forest sets. Better than 6079. Neat Catapult. Cool minifigs.

I loved the forestmen sets.

Alas, I strongly disliked this dark forest set. It was my first foray into anything lego castle in a very long time (6077 Forestmen's River Fortress was before this) Lego city and space sets filled the intervening years.

I used this set for parts. I really liked the well/sink thing. It never hurts to have more arches...lessens the struggle between castle expansion or scenery...

And the rooftop catapult...well some things are best left unsaid, especially when stated so well by others...

I am rather negative on this set.

It has ok figure selection, very poor structure design. The

curved pieces for the well were nice.

It is okay to revive set reviews. After all, that is why they are here. It is the old, irrelevant threads that we discourage new members from reviving.

I agree. Please stop diggin' up the oldies! I keep on thinking that this is the NEW set review for this week, and then... it isn't.

I disagree with this, and agree with Josh. I believe that newer members should have the right to express their opinion on sets who were a weekly set review before they joined. However, I also agree that members shouldn't be posting about irrelevant topic; set reviews are still okay.

Personally, I never got to review this set, so to avoid double posting, I'll do it now. I like the Dark Forest sets, however meagre their numbers, and believe that this one is good both as a single set, and as a builder for a forest complex.

Set reviews are different than other old threads. I encourage anyone who has not commented on a reviewed set to do so. This is why each set archive page has a link back to the set review. So if you want to review Dark Dragon's Den, go to the page here: http://www.classic-castle.com/sets/archives/6076.html

Recently newbies have been digging up old irrelevant threads (ie: What new KK2 sets are coming out in 2005). That is not acceptable. Commenting on a set review is. In addition, mods and admins can correct poor forum behavior, not general members. That is in the Terms of Service.

Ok, sounds good to me. I just wasn't aware of this policy.

EDIT: And sorry for taking this thread off topic!

I actually played with this set at a friends house, what I remember was the piece selection was limited so even though the tower tree thing wasn't that good , you couldn't do much better without adding a lot of your own blocks. The rare torso piece is a nice touch.
