Who made these? They are really good (In my own opinion).

My other reason of posting this find is because of the recent topic on Orc and such helmets, and these look pretty good...
Are these helmets LA or RB... Or are they something else...?

That's TwoTonicKnight's work. He's been MIA for the past couple months, but has been a regular on CC for a long long time. The helmets are the LEGO, he did a lot of work on those. I always wish that LA would pick them up and mold them for mass production.

They're of a very high quality. The meticulous designs make them extremely realistic.

I wish I had enough of those helmets that I could afford to cut some up.

Those helmets is really precision work.
I printed that Roman shield some time ago for my custom Romans.
Didn't know that TwoTonicKnight made these. I still wonder why he disappeared.

Um, since that "quest" was sent to me, any information you want to know I'll give via PM. Don't want to clutter threads.

Since I use maj.com for my hosting you were unlikely to find my romans in a search. I used the same helmet style but expanded it with different plumes, etc. Here's a link, and I hope to get some more pics of the individual soldiers up soon. If you're really interested in seeing them I would perhaps be more motivated. http://www.maj.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=95679

I do plan on taking this helmet style and further developing it with sculpted details on it, then molding and casting them and replacing all the hand-made helmets on my romans. The helmets of course would be available for purchase as I believe in sharing the lego goodness.

Wow Recluse! Those look good too. I am really happy to see another exampe of that broad brimmed helmet customized. Overall, I love these helms, and they could serve other uses as well.

Twotonic who?

Producing the helmets by hand is a matter of several hours for each, so I have a resin kit waiting for me to make a third (and more meticulously constructed) helmet as a master mold. Strictly for my own use, and not for sale, since I know someone will ask.

The gladius is easy enough to make. The pilum is more involved, but still something I'm willing to do by hand, though I'm not satisfied with the weight.

That's easy enough for you to say!

Seriously, though, the gladius is a very clean and finished peice. Good job.
