Hey and welcome! ...I can't think of a snappy comment for this thread, it is just so interesting to have a son of someone who's been in the lego world so long joining in. Congrats!

God Bless,

Nathan (who is now wondering if, given this head start, you will eventually surpass your father's building skill [mischievous smile]...)

Welcome to C-C!

Your Dad may be able to beat up my son's Dad, but my son's Dad can edit your Dad. Administrated! ;)

It's kind of funny to think someone has been waiting years to join C-C... I really don't view it as something that is that old. But I guess It has been, what... 4 years now? Wow...

Have fun!

Nice to have you here. It's kind of heartwarming. Must be pretty cool to have a dad that's into LEGOs. Like a father-son picnic that lasts all year long.

Hey All,

Thanks for the great welcome for my son. He is not going to be avaliable to respond for a few days (he's busy) so I'll jump in here.

To answer Norro (aka Nathan), he already is a better builder than me in several areas. The main one is ships. I stink at them and he's pretty good.

Several of you asked about his username. I told him to spend some time thinking about it and he eventually decided on PowderMonkey. That is what they called the young boys on Royal Navy ships who brought up the new charges for the cannons. He's really into the Age of Sail.

And, Lonan, while sharing our common Lego infatuation is fun, life is not all fun and bricks! :)

As far as Brickfest goes, I will be attending. Jonathan (his real name) will be dropping in for the public hours with my wife and the rest of my family.

Josh

PS. Just for the record, I don't feel any need to beat up any other dads out there.
AFOL and his money are easily parted.

Hello Powder Monkey, welcome to the greatest website on the internet: Classic-Castle! From what your father says, I really look forward to seeing some awesome ships from you :D  !

Hey, Welcome to CC Jonathan!
I agree with others among my age group, it's nice to see another younger member join. Lucky for me though, I found the online Lego community at age 14, so I was able to join right away. (I am sure the long wait was hard)

Welcome to forum Jonathan!

Wow, they named the forum after you! :P
