Lowlug meeting
Hey all,
Lowlug (Dutch LUG) had a meeting this past weekend that included several great castle creations, including notable CCC4 entries:

gallery 2:
gallery 3:
That cathedral facade in the last picture above is one I hadn't seen before. Who made that? It has some really interesting construction techniques.

Yeah! I JUST found a couple of these folders, and there is some great stuff here! I spotted Saskia's Brickerlo Inn, and Mockingbird's To Become a Knight, etc right away. Nice work guys, way to represent!

I would love to have attended that. A lot of quality MOCs are present. LowLUG appears to be a very prestigious, talented group for such a small geographic area.

Hey all,
Mockingbird has another gallery from this event, with a lot of other pictures. Could any of our Dutch friends tell us who built this creation, illustrating the Cinderella story (Brothers Grimm version, not Disney):

Great Bruce, thanks! I noticed a detail in one of the pics from this gallery that might interest some. In one of the castle buildings the tree serves as the hinge for opening! Its a very cool idea, I might have to try implementing it sometime!
Here's the particular pic!

It also appears to feature what is the best bit of customization work I have ever seen.Bruce N H wrote:Hey all,

In the kitchen, there is a small painting. At first, you might notice it to be a photograph. On closer inspection, it appears that the figures in the painting are actually minifigs! On even closer inspection, one familiar with 17th century dutch painting may recognize that it is in fact a recreation of "Rembrant's Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp"!!
No words can describe the sheer coolness of this.

That is one of my MOCs. It was an experiment to have a building opening up somewhere else than the chimney. But because I built the tree after I built the houses, it is a bit funny looking.wunztwice wrote:Great Bruce, thanks! I noticed a detail in one of the pics from this gallery that might interest some. When we placed my chapel next to Stuifzand's Brickerlo inn, it turned out that the paths connected. Meaning that the people could go straight to the pub after Mass.
