These are really good only because of the torso, shield and short sword. I love the short sword. I wonder where he got it. I don't think its brickfordge, is it?

No no, they are LEGO shortswords.
I haven't seen those in a long time. I forgot they were this good :) .

The torso print - I forget who first did this. Legofreak? I cleaned up the version I found on Brickshelf and made a few changes towards historical accuracy, and have a specific front and back version.

The earliest version of the shield I believe was Amorthe's version, but designed for the oval (kite) shield. This is based on his design, with all the artifacting and anti-aliasing removed to make color changes easy.

The sword is simply carved out of a standard LEGO Castle short sword. The blade is easy (I've made two or three different versions to match the historical variations in the gladius). the guard is hard.
