My upcoming story: A teaser PULLED OFFLINE, SORRY
Sorry everyone, but due to a complete lack of understanding regarding copyrighting, I'm pulling this offline. If and when I manage to resolve this to my satisfaction, I will repost it.
I am truly sorry for this inconveniance...
If anyone has any knowledge of this sort of thing, Please tell me. Thanks, Jake...

About the sig, I tend to make a new one whenver I make something good and castley. My first one was of the old King's recieving room (Sig is in the "sigs" folder) and this current one is based of my castle attack
Thanks for commenting, anyone else. I really want to make this good!!!

Unbelievable description. I can feel the wind blowing, and I don't even have to look at your sigfig to envision every inch of this noble knight's body. You are definitely a premier writer.

Hey. I think I commented in the original thread, but if not, I like your story. A bit heavy on the descriptions, but that's okay. I do it too. The grammar and spelling were very nice to see.Jake, of the Palace Guard wrote:Thnks very much for your comments, but unfortuantely, I have decided to remove it for now...
Sorry.
About posting it... I'm sure all the members here wouldn't steal it, so maybe you could PM it to anyone who asks? Although that might become a little time consuming... even with copy/paste. I also think a library might have some reference material on copyright law, that you could look up and study.

I think your stuff is pretty safe here, but if you're really worried, you can get a "poor man's copyright" by printing off a copy of your work, sealing it in an envelope, and taking it to the post office for a dated postmark. You should date your pages and initial each one for extra validation. Not a perfect method, but it attaches an official date to your work for the price of a stamp.

Actually I don´t really understand what you are worrying about, no one will steal a few paragraphs and then base a bestselling novel on it, and if some other FOL steal your words and make an illustrated story of it then everybody here knows that you were the one who wrote it anyway....

I can surely understand your apprehension/fear, I had the same thoughts when posting my story online... but, well... I just decided that I'd rather share what I write with everyone (or anyone interested) than have get cyber dust on my hard drive until I accidentally erase it.
I think Kevin Hall and Anthony are good examples of why it's good to share your stories without too much of a concern about copyright... everyone here knows and respects their work.
So, while I can understand your concern, I say... go for it!
