Unofficial Lego© Comic (This message is for you.)

Post by LORD DOOM »

((I hope this is the right place to post this.))

I'm a rather proficient illustator and well, I've been wanting to do a Lego© comic for quite some time. I've attempted to do it in the past but I'm way too picky and critical about my own writing, so I never finish a storyline, but I've noticed that quite a few of you are very talented writers. How would YOU feel about putting together a 30 page Castle storyline in graphic novel format? I don't have ANY of my drawings online at the moment EXCEPT my little profile image on here, I know what I'm doing though I've been doing it all my life and it would be really cool to create a great little story to put up on this board. ((I have way too much time on my hands anyway. Starving artist and all that.)) Y'know with all the GREATEST factions and viciously wicked epic-scale action scene's. What do you say man? Sounds killer don't it? Dude, PM me already and we can get started. You lazy son of a' brick.

YES...I am talking to YOU.

Ain't nothin' but a picture of THE EXAULTED, ILLUSTRIOUS, TRANSCENDENT, INFINITE, BENEVOLENT ~LORD DOOM~ YOUR DELIVERER FROM PHYSICAL EXISTANCE.......gettin' thacked.

Coincidentally, that's exactly how I feel when I've been hunched over a pile of Lego© peices for three and a half hours.

You might be, just a little bit. Try talking to the folks who hang out over at Castle World.

Uhm... I don´t really get what you mean there... :?

I could ask this question on your behalf over on CastleWorld though if you wish... (or maybe I could write something myself for you... but not right now ;))

I'm not sure what you mean either. A lot of members here are members there. It's a site dedicated to medieval lego stories. It seems to fit your idea perfectly.

I've decided to ignore it and hope it goes away. 8)

For the record, it is a cool idea.

Oh yeah, BTW Mr. Josh I thought you were telling me to screw off and join a different Forum. :P The MegaBlocks© thing was my sarcastic retort. Considering nobody understood it, I'm inclined to think it was in poor taste. My apologies.

Heh heh heh... no need to worry about that kind of thing - members here at CC would never (I don't think, anyway) tell another member to just get out and join another forum. Things are pretty friendly here. :)

Well, I've found a writer who's style I beleive will work well with my drawings, hopefully I'll be able to get a sneak-peak for you all to see whipped out in the near future. Thanks to all the writers who sent me submissions and/or offered to let me illustrate their stuff. Lots of great stories out there. It's no supprise that many LEGO fans are among some of the most creative people in the world. Keep it up guys, I hope to get the chance to pair up with more you in the future. :)

I appreciate the apology and, for the record, I wasn't telling you to take off. I was sincerely trying to help you find someone to partner up with. :) I am not offended so don't stay up late worrying about it...unless you really want to. :)

seems like a good idea to me. I would be glad to read a lego comic (considering I've only read the Knight's Kingdom comics). The drawings look excelent! I know only one or two people who could do anything near your drawing ability.
